  • Send this to your local media and make folks aware and send a copy to delta's head office. Make everyone aware that they ignored the contact the US GOVERNMENT/DOD or Dept of the Army has with them and then charging those who defend the US Way of life and keeping their country safe. Bad enough ignoring the contact in place let along charging the unit.

  • I am prior military and i also worked for Delta for a few years when this happened. I think it's bullshit that they did this to you guys. I'm not going to apologize for them because i think Delta is garbage. Welcome home brothers

  • UM WOW!!!! Glad I dont ever have to fly Delta. Sorry you guys had to go through that.

  • The DoD has specific agreements with the airlines. If the bags weren't covered, then DoD should have picked up the tab.

  • Did you sue them or get your money back?

  • @thejobroandmcman No. All they had to do was fill out a travel voucher as soon as they returned to their home station and they would have been reimbursed.

  • @BrassoMagnus Ohh. That's good. I hope they did

  • If the Service Men were on Delta at all, it's because Delta was contracted to serve in solider transport. Delta should've been smart enough to expect returning equipment and made proper arrangements rather than bilking money out of Our Soldiers.

  • F**K Delta.

  • I refuse to fly until Ron Paul gets rid of the TSA

  • fly Southwest they treat every customer with respect.

  • Delta is the worst ever especially the black flight staff. They are true bitches

  • soon they will need to pay for the whole trip back home on their own, when the dollar goes belly up

  • god BLESS YOU guys!

  • This is disgraceful

  • so wrong for airlines to charge any military services..i know that everything isnt for free, but for this price is crazy...why dont they just give immediate discounts so you dont have to wait for your reimbursement...Dam delta, what the heck is going on..

  • @paupres: comments were most definately NOT respectful of your brothers-at-arms. And I have no illusions that these guys will not get chewed out by their First Shirts when they get home.

  • OK, wow. I know this reply has taken a while, but you'll have to forgive me as I was in a car accident. To begin with, you don't need to say things like "your ignorant a**," profanity just makes one's arguement seem weaker. I was NOT suggesting YOU COULDN'T do great things as well, that seems to have been an emotional response coming from deep within your ego. It's amazing what you do for tent city; I know, my husband bunks there quite often and it's wonderful he can be comfortable while

  • now I could understand if the military budget was cut (at all) that they would charge this...but you shouldnt fucking have to pay your fucking travle orders STATE how many you can carry and that should be that, you boys should NOT have paid jack shit!

  • DELTA BLOWS CORN HOLES!

  • Not cool DELTA! Not cool at all.

Thanks to you both for protecting the citizens of Afghanistan and for doing a job not many people would ever do.

  • Anybody surprised that soldiers still are treated with with little more respect than return viet nam vets?

  • Stopped flying Delta 20 years ago

  • You fight for the better of our nations and then come back to this sh*t? Not right man... Delta sucks anyway.

  • United airlines are a much better airline...Best in the USA

  • You never have this up in Canada..... lol

  • It's not the people who work for Delta's fault! It's the FAA. They didn't know of this happening, I bet the Delta workers would be more than thankful to not have these soliders pay!! But it's not their choice. @twixiechick, THINK BEFORE POSTING! @buddiiee, THE GOVERNMENT IS IN DEBT! THEY'RE TAKING OUR TAXES, AND I'M NOT SAYING I WOULDN'T BE WILLING TO PAY FOR THEM, IT"S JUST YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!

  • delta is a piece of shit. how do they sleep at night

  • Fuck Delta!!!! I will never fly with them again.

  • @buddiiee

That applies to a certain point buddy, then the company breaks up and splits to their own locations. Not all of a company's soldiers all live in Boston, NYC, San Diego. They break up and fly their own ways to their homes, and this is common. MY parents were in the US Army for 20+ years each, and that's how they described it. The Government paid to fly the company back from the deployment area to an American city, and then they all split up til' the next assignment or deployment.

  • u wunder why i fly private

  • First of all, the government should be paying for everything. If they had to pay, the government should reimburse them. Second, Delta gives discounts to military and sometimes even free entry to the SkyClub and complimentary upgrades to first class. I agree with the person that said Delta is a company, not a charity. Delta does a lot for the military and people expect way too much from airlines. No wonder airlines are losing so much money.

  • @TeddKnows I guess you didnt realize that the government is in debt

  • I am greatful for what they do for me. But I am also glad that we have companies out there that are employing people to pay the taxes for our troops to get what they need. ie Delta. @Mega contain1 What difference does it make to a trillion dollar government to send troops via commerical airlines? It saves money. These soldiers blew this way out of proportion. If they had been more professional maybe this would have never happened? what a concept?

  • @usair97 Your information is incorrect. Delta has a ticketing agreement with Saudi Airlines. Delta does not code share nor own any part of that airline. Delta has done a lot of great things for our military. I have seen them get complimentary upgrades, free entry to the Sky Club., discounted tickets. Its gotten to the point that Soldiers are now "asking for upgrades" I was told that if the soldiers CO knew what they were doing they would be in trouble. Delta is a company not a charity

  • DELTA IS JUST UGH MAKING UNITED STATES MILITARY PAY FOR BAGGAGE THEN THEY WONT LET JEWS FLY ON THE SAUDI ARABIAN AIRLINES SINCE DELTA I THINK IS LIKE OWNS OR HAS A COTRACT WITH THT AIRLINE I WILL NEVER FLY DELTA AIRLINES

  • @usair97 As Stated above, Delta airlines has done so many things for our nation, allowing not only american citizens to get free upgrades at times but also allowing Soldiers to upgrade w/o an extra cost. Delta airlines is not a Charity. They are like any other company in this united states of america. btw, Delta airlines allows discount tickets for soldiers as well. They are a wonderful airline.

  • @CVON12 Delta airlines is horible say you were jewish how would you feel if delta didnt allow you on one of there contracting airlines. Ive been hated by soo many people and for the wrong reasons. Also for so many years how dare DELTA do such a thing

  • F**K Delta!

  • no i feel bad for booking a delta flight! but hey welcome home soldiers! ya'll did good!

  • that's fucked up! delta overcharges

  • @MegaContain1 You obviously didn't listen to the video. The were authorized to have 4 bags checked without any charges ! Ya know , I think u need to go back to school and learn other words besides "cuz". why don't you enlist and serve this great nation you are so free in ?? You don't have testosterone, just a limp wrist, with a whole lotta broken language and disfunction to the max !!

  • @NWOIS666 The military will reimburse the soldiers for any bags they had to pay for... That's a fact...

  • @deltamed221 I am a veteran, I know about military reimbursement. Takes weeks, if not months to receive.

  • @NWOIS666 but the fact is, you still receive the reimbursement ^.^

  • @deltamed221 I was paid my stop loss pay a couple months ago...I was released from stop loss in 2003, only 8 short years to get that money. Normal travel pay can take 2-6 months to see if something "odd" happens. While the government is quick to recoup money they are slow to pay out.

  • @NWOIS666 so youre a veteran of throwing puppies off cliffs? nice job serveing a disgusting big mac fatty filled country death to america

  • @CriminalIntent89 dont shout "Death to America!" shout "Death to Tyrants!"

  • @NWOIS666 "great nation you are so free in" Do you honestly still believe that? every working man in America is a modern slave. Unfortunately.

  • @MegaContain1 Excuse YOU! how dare u say such stupidity!!! they're not "stupid babies" I would love to see you bust your ass off in Afghanistan like those and all other soldiers serving and that have served with such honor and braveness to keep stupid "babies" like YOU free and safe!!! YOU pis me off!!!

  • @Mo42092 This country is stupid and gay its always in debt it just wants and it gives money to other country when it has a shit load of money to pay off and were not free al these gay fuckin laws that take our freedom.

  • @MegaContain1 well at least you have the opportunity to express your own opinion THANKS to men and women who fight so that YOU can enjoy it!!

  • @MegaContain1 Hey Mega..fuck you. Im not even going to be nice..take a pipe bomb and shove it up your fucking ass. These men are SERVING YOU. What fucking difference does it make to a million dollar company for 85$, it makes a difference to the Men And Woman who make shit pay risking their lives. AND theres and agreement which says they can have 4, learn something you moron. The guns are also government property, its not like they're theirs..

  • @twistedman25 FUCK you ya i will get a pipe but not a bomb im a stoner haha AMERICA IS FUCKING RETARDED AND STUPID

  • @twistedman25 well, this has happened before. The people who purchase the tickets for these soldiers sometime mess up their orders to the airline. They may have already payed to have 3 bags but go back and tell the soldiers 4. Its an honest mistake.

  • @MegaContain1 I agree totally with NWOIS666!!! Enlist, see the world, it's not a job, it's a fucking adventure filled with IEDs and other little issues like camel spiders, scorpions, Afghan soldiers WE TRAINED, and THEY TURN ON US AND KILL US. If you think they are being babies, then join up and stand a post. Find out just what kind of babies they are. You might even come home without a leg or two, no arms, lose an eye, or just plain come back dead.

  • @MegaContain1 You are mentally fucked... just sayin'.

  • @MegaContain1 it's there stuff from afghanistan, you expect somebody who just spent months over seas fighting in a war to have 1 or 2 bags?

  • @MegaContain1 well then maybe you should go fight overseas then...i think the military deserve everything in the world for putting their lives on the line for you're stupid ungrateful ass...slap yourself!!!

  • @kingdeez Im a stoner who doesnt care about shit say what you want it wont change my mind.

  • @MegaContain1 dont be an asshat that fucker got back from afganistan hes a soldier he is trained souly to operate with a unit and protect an entire nation and to defend citizines of iraq the least a airline can do is pay for there luggage :P and you mr.asshat callign a man thats willing to take a bullet for you to stay sitting on your pc and being a trollfag learn some fucking respect you sir are the reason other nations cal the U.S Fat.

  • @Si3z3 How can he protect the citizens of Iraq when He's in Afghanistan?

And as a Soldier, he should have known he was going to get reimbursed. Instead, he chose to open his mouth on YouTube without knowing the regulations that are in place when this kind of thing happens (quite often I might add) so he wouldn't end up paying out of pocket. No doubt he was probably sleeping during the briefing when this was explained to him.

  • First Overcharging US Soldiers and then

Taking a piss over that British Guys Luggage

    Delta's a Joke

    Boycott Delta!

  • I don't see the problem. They could have made other arrangements when they found out there would be a fee for the fourth bag or just taken a bus. Working for the US government doesn't absolve you of paying for services that you use.

  • Delta won't service Jews on their Saudi flights so they must reason it's ok to accept what some other bass ackward country does. It's past time for a good-ole-fashioned- Delta BOYCOTT!! I don't have a desire to go to S.A. but other places I want to go are serviced by delta but I WILL NOT FLY delta!

  • "Business is business" folks. Delta is a business so anyone taking more baggage pays more. The question only a few ask and is pertinent is why is the military "another business" not taking their property back?

  • @Liberty4awl Have you Seen the Viral Video This Week about Delta Employee's, Opening a costumers Baggage, stealing from it and finishing it off by Taking a Piss all over it!

    Ridiculous if you ask me

  • @7footballfanatic7 shut the fuck up

  • @TeddKnows

    8=========D~~~~~~~~~~~~~TeddKnows

  • Thank you for protecting a country I'm not even a official citizen of and keeping not only me but all my friends and family safe.

  • fuck delta, but shouldnt our goverment be covering the soldiers pay to?

  • the only airline worse then delta is spirit...

  • @buddiiee Sometimes when they finally get stateside they have to fly comercial. I have family and friends that both did it.

  • @buddiiee They said they had already been to Baltimore and were going to Atlanta. I'm thinking maybe their company whole company went to Baltimore and then went on a second flight to wherever their home was located (Atlanta for these guys)? I don't know for sure just ideas for explanation.

  • @lumpymuffins69 Mmm...they were going to Ft. Polk, Louisiana. That means they were flying the cheapest seats, with the most and longest layovers, possible. I was Army '69-'75, and flew in my class A's whenever I could. Back then, a stewardess might approach me to tell me there was an empty seat in first class, and would I like it. I never would have thought those were the good old days. Screw Delta, I'd rather take the bus.

  • @buddiiee Just because they're in the military doesn't mean they always fly on just military airplanes. Usually (my dad was in the air force for 21 years) They fly to their deployment station on a military aircraft, then on the way back they come commercial.

  • With democRats in the power expect anything !

  • @BusyBeingFabulous Oooooo a pun. you must be a really intelligent person. I remember when I was 7.

  • @buddiiee They do not always fly on the government planes to and from their deployments. It's more common now for them to use the airlines for travel. There are times when some soldiers are returning home sooner than others, regardless of when the rest of their company/battalion/squadron is returning home. So it is faster to use the air lines so they can keep the other planes open for other uses! And they shouldn't have to pay for anything on a plane!!

  • Props to the troops that keep us safe, that allows trolls to talk shit

  • I support the US troops.

    I recognize your duty.

    Live from Albania.

  • everybody should ban together. this is yet another bullshit case where our soldiers risk their lives and get shit on when they come home. if we can cause delta to lose a high enough percentage to other airlines, maybe just maybe they will be put out of business. their is no room for these greedy pieces of shits in our country with its current economic state.

  • $200 for a bag? That's a lot. I once had to pay for an extra bag and it was only $65.

  • Actually the military often sends many of its troops on civilian flights in order to move them around. My father was in the U.S. Air Force and a couple different times he flew on civilian flights in the U.S.

  • This is absurd...after seeing all of these stories about Delta, I will refuse to ever fly Delta again. I cannot BELIEVE this...thank you so much for serving our country and I'm sorry for you and your fellow soldiers.

  • @twixiechick Delta doesn't want you anyway LOL

  • @twixiechick Delta has apologized

  • Delta is the WORST possible airline to fly anyway. Rude employees, bad food, uncomfortable seats the works. They need to be shut down or something because Delta as a company is WAY PAST its prime. It's like flying in a dinosaur. Boycott Delta Airlines and never fly with them again. JetBlue is actually the best airline in my opinion :D

  • Go to the delta airlines YouTube page. They filter EVERY comment for approval and it's full of bullshit comments from people stating that Delta Airlines is the best airline there is. Those are the ONLY comments on their page If you have anything negative to say or want to post a complaint on their YouTube page, it's not going to happen. Fuck Delta! Someone needs to hack that page.

  • Yes you are right, however the US Government should have paid, not you.. Delta is a business, and if the government has a contract with Delta , then the US Government is responsible for that. Trash the Us Government

    ,not Delta

  • Comment removed

  • @buddiiee there were a bunch on the same flight, some companys only have around 20 or so people.... and the government does pay.. we dont hop onto a C130 until kuwait... otherwise its a contracted airline that provides the government with the airplanes seeing as most tactical aircraft are usually quite busy... but what might i know..im only a drill sergeant.

  • Obviously an isolated error by a misinformed employee. They said themselves that the government has a contract, so they can be reimbursed. No pain and suffering here. Time and energy would be better spent focusing on real issues (for disabled vets), rather than on an inconvenience for young, healthy, active soldiers. These must be the ones who come into ordinary businesses and think they are owed carte blanche treatment. They have my respect and gratitude (and taxes), but business is business.

  • @mtotten2582 we pay taxes ourselves as well.

  • @stuckiniraq05 no doubt. By that I meant that as a civilian, being a taxpayer means that I do contribute something (though small) to servicemen already. On top of that, I have respect and gratitude. I'm glad my taxes help the military have those facilities in travel, etc--but to see an entitled attitude when something goes wrong because they decided to make a video (and couldn't leave it on the plane amongst themselves) really burns me up.

  • @mtotten2582 true.. thats where being professional comes into play..

  • seriously, just because you are coming back from deployment overseas by choice, does not make you a hero. And furthermore, soldiers already get special treatment considering normal customers are only allowed to bring 1 bag for free. I recently flew from Amsterdam to Boston on Delta and got charged $400 because I had 2 extra bags, because I was moving back to the US. Obviously they were misinformed about the cost or they are under the impression that they are above everyone else.

  • @pollinator667 you were moving you putz... you chose to do that as well, but we dont have a say in how much crap the army makes us carry wherever we go. (shit we need, like body armor...)

  • Buhu.... They just came back from deployment, so they certainly have 200 bucks. And they get them back. So what's the problem?

Or better seid: If somebody screwed up, then it were the people who forgot that 4 bags is one to much. Delta was just acting according to their "orders".

So stop whining you guys, or else it's hard to believe that you are to be taken seriously. (be mad at you superior officer if you like)

  • NOBODY FLY DELTA ALL OF THIS RETARDED STUFF KEEPS HAPPENING TO EVERYBODY

  • wtf??? not only is it more than enough that these people put their lifes on the line. they have to pay to fly home???

  • Fuck these Delta Airlines pricks, a British customer recently had his luggage pissed on. These guys are so unprofessional I recommend suing these fuck heads.

  • fuck the delta airlines

  • Just because you put a unifoprm on, does NOT make you a fricken hero. I am sick of every clerk, cook, and truck driver in the military, acting like they were part of the Navy SEAL team that killed osama. Get the fuck over yourselves.

  • Men and woman who are returning from war should NOT have to pay for any luggage fee's. This is yet another greedy company who clearly does not support our troops!

Good for the troops for videoing this! Reality is, without the public seeing this how would we all know???

  • 1. Not everyone has or had or will have a government travel charge card no matter how hard the powers that be attempt to push it. And 2. hope you didn't have that money pegged for anything else...On the spot no less. I'm sure everyone has $200 to easily spare at any given time. And that's just touching the surface. Average how long it takes for these travel claims to get processed and that money to get back to you? A notoriously long process.

  • @tigershell

After reading some more of these comments it comes down to: yes, these soldiers should not have posted this video because it is unprofessional for them to air their grievances in this manner. I am an NCO and I would not do this.

However, all of these military personnel should be told to leave aside $200 per bag over the airline limit in the future (no matter what their orders say). The whole unexpected and obviously unplanned aspect is probably their greatest grievance.

  • Sorry bottom feeders, your not going to trash american troops simple as THAT ! lmbo !!

  • @buddiiee If their wife did that then learn to pick a better woman. They get a pay check right? they should have money in their pocket. I don't remember there being a draft, that means that all of these people signed up to serve because they wanted to. Nobody held a gun to their head and made them. Quit with the sense of entitlement. If they didn't want to get deployed overseas, then they should have gotten a different job. They joined the ARMED FORCES, guns come with the job.

  • These guys signed up to do a job knowing what was going to be asked of them. I don't see the problem. Delta doesn't need to foot the bill for anybody to fly.

  • Comment removed

  • @buddiiee Absolutely agree. I too served in the US Army and never had to pay a dime for any travel other than what I wanted to buy myself while traveling and having long layovers at different airports all across the country.

  • @buddiiee Absolutely Agree !!

  • I think it's ridiculous that Delta Airlines charged these soldiers over $2,800. These people are fighting for our rights as Americans, and the government gives Delta extra money and incentives for flying our boys back home. Why charge them extra? I understand that Delta "needs to make money too;" however, they are already getting more money for each flight that goes to and from during war time. I think they should show a little respect to our brothers(and sisters)-in-arms! How unAmerican!

  • I am glad that Delta charged these jerks the extra carry on. Who do these scumbags think they are expecting everything free. Everyone else has to pay for the fee. I mean look at this assholes face and you would think that this extra fee charge was the worst thing that happened in his deplolyment.

  • @duncan7599 That comment makes you look like an ignorant ass wipe who appreciates nothing. These men protected you with there lives and you repay them by being a little bitch to them on the internet? They should not have to pay for a flight back home after being out of country for a year risking there lives. Some of them might not have money on them, especially $200 cash in there pockets. I hope you enjoy insulting someone who has done something with there life to help others.

  • @duncan7599 cuz "everyone else" TOTALLY just got back from a mandatory trip to a warzone.. is "everyone else" REQUIRED to carry all that gear? what would you do if you got charged for something that was unexpected?

  • Very unprofessional of these Staff Sergeants. Ignorant whiners. They were on MILITARY orders not DELTA orders. They should have handled this with their chain of command

  • I think thety should post what they want.....Delta could've worked with these guys.

  • Delta is a private airlines. The government does reimburse the troops for the baggage fees.

You can't force a private business to take a loss on expensive fuel, and employees use.

If the government really cared about our troops, wouldn't they use a private charter??

Don't get pissed at the private businesses of America trying to stay afloat.

And I also don't feel its right for troop members to post videos such as this. It's the same as if Obama endorsed a brand of beer.

  • I'm a veteran and military spouse. The military travel pay has changed the last several years. Right now the government credit card, is a pre-paid visa card. It's pre-loaded during a TDY/deployment with the amount of money finance determines you will need to travel based on contract travel rates. If the airlines over charge you for some reason, you are pretty much screwed and will have to pay out of pocket. I was an officer, $200 out of pocket hurts me, it would hurt a SSgt more.

  • All you ungrateful Americans that are bad mouthing these soldiers, take your asses overseas and fight for your country!! I have numerous sons in the military and one critically injured in Iraq and I know the sacrifices they and the families make...$200 is alot for these soldiers to pay out of pocket on the way home. Army does not pay these soldiers in a timely manner and Delta could suck it up and allow an extra bag! This country pays for our worthless politicians to travel but not our soldiers?

  • The problem here is

    Bags = Military/Allotted Gear

    Military/Allotted Gear ≠ Personal

The Military wants me to move (x) bags... Not me. Soldiers that are asked to pay for an item the Military wants to move is unthinkable. If the orders from the military are stated and a contract had been made this should not have happened... I think it's BS...

  • Comment removed

  • @mtubo186, Youre right it is their choice to serve their country and aren't you glad they made that choice so your cowardly ass wouldn't have to. You sit at home & enjoy the luxuries afforded you by the blood, sweat & tears of warriors. If it weren't for our military you wouldn't be on yt bad mouthing them. You obviously don't have the backbone to serve so it's easier to trash them. Our soldiers deserve much more than what they get considering they're protecting assholes like you!

  • honestly i dont give a shit. these guys served to fight for our freedom, while we sit here watching youtube videos. Can you honestly blame them for complaining? They were in Afghanistan were the weather is killer hot and their getting shot at and or putting there life on the line on a daily basis. So now they get to come home after and 18 hour lay over. Can you HONESTLY say you wouldnt be a little irritated?

  • 1) their math is wrong or their numbers are wrong. It is $82/bag on average if they all had 1 extra bag. Only 14 people had an extra bag in their unit if they were only charged $2800.

    2) If they have a contract, they should have provided proof of that contract.

  • @MTUboi86 3) If they could not get anywhere with the Delta representatives at the airport (they probably have no authorization to do this, or have never done it before), then they should have called the phone number on the ticket and talked directly to someone at Delta and have them call Delta at their airport to authorize it.

  • 4) This sounds like a simple case of "I'm not authorized to do that" from the delta employees... and yet they're making a big deal of "Paying out of pocket" when they KNOW they will be reimbursed once it gets cleared up.

  • Well if wasn't for people like these guys---all of yall couldn't post these negative comments. God Bless America and God Bless our Troops!

  • 5) Sometimes military personnel get big heads and think all should bow down before them, and if something doesn't go their way/correctly, they get all pissy about it. This video is an example of that. Them "serving" overseas is their job... and they should get very little additional benefits for just doing their job... no matter what their job is.

    6) I don't know how that video go that many views.

  • Another point, those who think the military provides everything, please think again. There is the basic equipment they give them, then there are the expensive upgrades available to them to purchase, if they want to survive they buy the better equipment. I have a son in the military who has been in for almost 3 yrs so Im not telling you what I saw on the evening news. I have his bank statements to prove it.

  • Anyone on here who thinks our military flies for free is mistaken, to put it nicely. Yea, sure they fly for free on the way over there on military transport, but coming home ? They get discounts, not free passes. Some can get short flights on military planes to some places but that surely is not a given. And if they end up based in Europe or Asia, they sure as hell dont fly home free. My son had to pay almost 2000 euros to get home for christmas, needless to say he didnt come.

  • For the boneheads posting here, I'll try once more to express how returning troops should be Welcomed Home. Google "Every Friday At The Pentagon" if this link doesn't work:

    sodahead.com/united-states/fridays-at-the-pentagon/question-1854269/

Sunday, these guys were at war, everyone around maybe trying to kill them. How was your Sunday? The 2 sergeants corrected a problem in 2 days which has been going on for years. Why do you not have our troops best interests as your focus ?

  • @poka513 My Sunday was stressful because I realized I'm powerless to stop the military leadership and its amoral goons from killing innocent people in my name and every second I live and breathe in this vile shitty country is at the expense of others.

  • I hate Delta Airlines. I was recently coming home from a 5 week long TDY. And Delta Airlines delayed my flight 5 times. I obviously missed my connecting flight do to their inability to do their job. Once I finally made it to my connecting terminal the attendant working the gates "could not help me find a connecting flight to my final destination" so I had to go back through security and wait 3 hours to be issued a new ticket for my final destination. Needless to say, Delta Airlines was (cont)

  • ...very unprofessional. Not very knowledgeable. You think they would treat their military personnel with a little more respect and courtesy.

  • People not in the military have no clue the sacrifices that families make for members to serve. Growing up in a military family there were lots of times that my parents had to fork over extra bucks to get from one place to another. My dad was spit on coming back from Viet Nam. He was a man of honor who served so someone else would not have to go in his place. These guys are the same. I am glad that someone finally spoke up.

  • @cegdoyle It is their Job. It is their choice. Any burden a family member puts on a family because they CHOSE to join the military is really saying what kind of person they were. They want to put their family through hell to go do a job. That is not something to be proud of. I don't care if their job is fighting a "war" over nothing... it was that person's choice to join the military... What comes with it is what they sign up for. They don't deserve discounts or anything more than anyone else.

  • @MTUboi86 You disgust me.

  • @06 Hatter: Thanks. I did read the column. More info for modern history. Unfortunately, I was addressing conflicts in the Afghani region dating back to antiquity & the silk road. Also,I do believe I mentioned the Soviet Invasion of @ 20 years ago; this was cold war stuff- of course we would counter-attack. Still, thank you for the suggestion. I will, of course, check his facts, but I can't promise you I will shut the hell up.

  • @Ssmegmadiver22: I just posted that little history lesson for you so that you might, just might, stop being a jackass and telling the world about all the children's fingers the US blew off. Afgahnistan has been in a state of war since ANTIQUITY. The majority of the reason our troops are there is to stop this cycle, protect the innocents, and help develop a truly modern, civilized society. And no, of course that was not my own research; however, I am a history major so I looked it up. Try it.

  • @tartansandtyrants Google "Michael Parenti Afghanistan" to read some real history and then shut the hell up.

  • @smegmadiver22: On August 19, 1919, following the third Anglo-Afghan WAR and the signing of the Treaty of Rawalpindi, the nation regained control over its foreign policy from the British. Since the late 1970s, Afghanistan has experienced a CONTNINUOUS STATE OF WAR, including MAJOR OCCUPATIONS in the forms of the 1979 SOVIET INVASION, a PAKISTANI MILITARY INTERVENTION IN SUPPORT OF THE TALIBAN IN THE LATE 1990s. THERE IS ONGOING TALIBAN INSURGENCY and widespread POLITICAL CORRUPTION. con't...

  • The political history of modern Afghanistan begins in the 18th century w/ the rise of the Pashtuns, when the Hotaki dynasty rose to power at Kandahar in 1709 followed by Ahmad Shah Durrani's CONQUEST in 1747. The capital of Afghanistan was shifted in 1776 from Kandahar to Kabul and part of the Afghan Empire was CEDED 2 neighboring empires by 1893. In the late 19th century, Afghanistan became a buffer state in the "GREAT GAME" between the British and Russian empires, con't...

  • Asmegmadiver22: (classy name, btw.) Anyway, are you are a political tool or just a tool? Do some research into Afghani history, see how long they've been fighting BEFORE the US got there 2 try to establish peace. Ahem.."The land has witnessed many military conquests since antiquity, notably by Alexander the Great, Chandragupta Maurya, & Genghis Khan...con't

  • @keanu562: You're just a moron and a troll. 'Nough said.

  • @paupers: Ignorant NCOs? Are you either an Officer or someone washed out of the service? NCOs are not ignorant. That's how they got to be NCOs. My father was made an NCO during the Vietnam War. Are you suggesting he's ignorant? I assure you neither he nor his friends are. My husband is an NCO. He busted his ass getting there. So many TDYs seperating us for long periods & so, so many tests. He can load a C5 so precisely it weighs the same on both sides. Can you do that?

  • @tartansandtyrants

no but I can supply entire tent cities with electricity so people can call your ignorant ass and catch an F16 at 120knots, that good enough for you? Every single person in active duty has had one or more shitbag NCO supervisor....just because you're military does not make you a good person, use your head. I have great respect for my brother-in-arms, but these people in the video are shitbags, nothing more, they deserve what they get, and the UCMJ will make sure of that.

  • @paupres he's stuck over there. I thank you for that. I NEVER suggested you were unable to perform your duties, I just got a little hot under the collar b/c I've been military my whole life and I felt there was NO reason to lump all NCOs together. Geese, if we're going to talk about bad decision making, let's talk about non-commissioned officers. But don't insult my family or friends, many of whom (including my father) lost their entire platoon. I felt, and still do, that your well, pretty nasty

  • If Delta accepted the severed fingers of Afghani children as currency, these guys would have had no problem.

  • Freaking cry babies!!!! Pay for ur bag this is a BUISNESS!

  • @katt233: I feel for you.So many ppl here, including military (ppl, understand rivalries b/t branches, which account 4 some negative comments by other soldiers; you know what I mean, right Katt?) )are screaming 4 chance 2 bash these guys.Ppl, wake up call: were they entitled to the 4th bag? IDK. I read a report stating Delta DID have a contract 4 up to 4 bags.Right or wrong, can everyone give these tired guys a break? They just want 2 c their families w/o going broke after being deployed.

  • @swicked7

Well didn't you just get chewed out. Are you even part of a military family? Do you know what its like to have someone leave for a long period of time, let alone go to a war zone?! If the company was so stand by the military then there shouldn't have been this mishap. This brings attention to the company an to the military as to make sure everyone is aware of future contracts. So please until you go through that, shut your mouth.

  • 27999 person to see this!!!

acually i was the 312th person

  • Wow the u.s government should get a contract with american airlines since the colors on the plane resembles THE U.S.A

  • I am a spouse of a deployed soldier. The comments on here make me want to cry. Some of you have no idea the sacrifice the soldier and their families go through everyday. They fight for you. I am ashamed that many of you can sit there and call yourself an American. Flying home for 2 weeks after being shot at left and right for free is a small gift considering the sacrifices they make everyday. It is not an easy job and half of you couldn't do it. To those people I say "Shut the fuck up!"

  • @katt2233 I could not have said it any better than that. While most of America sit around watching American Idol or Dancing with the Stars we are at war. Many brave men and women are overseas fighting for your freedom and your rights. If they ever fail and those they are fighting take control here it would all be over. I think they can at least expect a ride home from the fronts they are fighting upon.

  • no one should fly delta airlines. They overcharge our soldiers and have crappy service.Just the fact they overcharged is bad enough. Now that they look stupid now they make it right.DO NOT FLY DELTA -DO NOT FLY DELTA we as a country should show these GOUGERS we don't need companies treating our soldiers like this!!!!!!!!

  • As far as I am concerned our military coming home from out of country should be treated like Royalty!!

  • @Pamelabcb

These Soldiers and all Soldiers do fly home free, Pamela.

I don't think I am of "a higher power than anyone". But I do know my responsibilities and I will execute them to the fullest. And just like I know my responsibilities, these Non-Commissioned Offi
