Well the only year they had issues with the gears and transmission was '08 and thats was only certain machines. They had a re-call on those machines aswell, and the factory fixed them. But my '07 has been just fine. My friend got an '08 kfx and i like the power of that quad stock. Very nice and i love the bars and the removable plastic. But the really nice thing is the reverse. But wen we get on the track.....he cant touch me. Or even in the trails he still cant touch me. Bad handling in the kfx

I defiantly agree with the handling of the KFX. the stock suspension is just too soft. at higher speeds it tends to twitch a little. and on the track its hard to not bottom out. especially on the bigger jumps. im saving some money right now so i can either buy some elka's or fox shox. im almost broke now, i ordered an exhaust, nerfs and efi controller. ive heard some of the same complaints about the 09 LTR though. hopefully the 2010 model has all of the bugs worked out. i really like the LTR.

Well i personally would never sacrafice realiability for power like they did with the zuki in '08. I can run down moded and hoped up honda and yamaha mx quads. However ive had 2 can-ams beat me and never raced a ktm. Actually thats not true. I beat a ktm 450 xc. It was stock so im cant say much bout it.

The KTM450sx is an insane quad man. well im not sure about stock but the modded ones i have saw are crazy as fuck. the powerband on them are so broad. it keeps pulling with no trouble from bottom to top end.
