They were the first to offer free drinks. Air France offered free alcoholic drinks on Concorde and also British Airways...

...you know what would be really awesome? A carrier that still allows smoking!!! But he had to make sure no children or non smokers, get mixed with the smoking passengers.

@jamesonton I believe that's a thing of Airbus, and not JetBlue. Seeing as how almost all of JetBlue's fleet is Airbus, then that's why. I've flown in many other airlines and have noticed the aircraft I fly in. Every Airbus I've been in has had TV screens for every seat. So far, no Boeing has given me that luxury.

@AIRdomination Nope, it depends on the airline. For example, other airlines that operate Airbus A320 aircraft either have overhead tv's or nothing. Virgin America and Jetblue are the only ones. With Boeing 737s, and 757's, there are usually seatback tv's. Internationally, it depends again. But no, it depends on the airline, not plane manufacturer.

@jcop692003 actually Spirit Airlines charges for everything onboard, from water t juices, sodas and snacks, even carry-on bags, and as of november 1st 2011, $5 to print your boarding pass at the airport if you don't already have it. So you can believe her that she totally knows what's she's talking about :)

Spirit is the ONLY airline in the US that charges for everything, although their travel fares are super super low; in Europe, airlines such as Spanair and Ryanair also charge for everything.

Really?? Southwest doesn't always have the lowest fare in markets where they compete with legacy carriers. In those cases, you're paying a higher base fare to fly a legacy carrier and getting nothing in return for it--you're still going to pay for checked baggage and not get any meal or snack service included in the fare.
