YOU ARE AWESOME!!! you did amazing! thank you soooo much for your help. i was thinking about doing this my self, do have any tips for this job. i do have some experience working on cars.
@Jyunka1 no need to drain the oil as long as you cover the hole with a clean shop rag to keep any debris out when you remove the tube that holds the dipstick.
@PMPDaddy68 Thanks a Million Buddy it took me a little over 5 hours to do it fully for my first time start to end! this Sunday, couldn't of done it with out ya man!
@Jyunka1 awesome! glad to see it helped. coming soon ;-) the headlight washer spray nozzle and replacing your front lenses. (mine are so bad I wrote to BMW and stated that i would be better off strapping two fischer price kids flashlights to the front of my car).
After doing some research I found out I needed a torque wrench. What's the best way to clean this whole section up? I know I shouldn't get water into the engine block, but is it ok to get water in and on the housing? As long as I dry it well?
@phillyphill112 i first cleaned my engine with gunk and a presure washer being careful only to hit metal areas with the spray. then once i removed everything i plugged all the oil holes with clean shop rags then used brake cleaner liberally sprayed around the oily areas then soaked/ wiped it all up with the blue shop towels till clean.
Great video! I'm about to change the gasket to my oil filter housing and this is so helpful. I'm leaking a lot of oil. I'm also about to change all the hoses on my power steering pump. Leaking p/s fluid everywhere. But I got a question. You talk a lot about getting the right torque on the screws. How do you make sure you're getting the right torque? Is there a tool? I've always heard about this but I just tighten up my bolts by hand. Help?! you can also email me at phillyphill112@yahoo Thanks!
Great video.One of the best I have ever seen.Like a pro,Thanks,

I see a lot of oil by my vanos line. Do you think it is just the vanos line leaking or is it probably the oil housing gasket?
kidstocks 2 months ago
@kidstocks i would need to see it, if you have oil on your connections for your vanos then you probably need to look into those.
