  • Great video.One of the best I have ever seen.Like a pro,Thanks,

  • YOU ARE AWESOME!!! you did amazing! thank you soooo much for your help. i was thinking about doing this my self, do have any tips for this job. i do have some experience working on cars.

  • @MMyballsitch just take your time, understand each step and don't over/under torque anything.

  • Thanks mate!!! You are amazing!!! :-)

  • Quick question do you need to drain the oil?

  • @Jyunka1 no need to drain the oil as long as you cover the hole with a clean shop rag to keep any debris out when you remove the tube that holds the dipstick.

  • @PMPDaddy68 Thanks a Million Buddy it took me a little over 5 hours to do it fully for my first time start to end! this Sunday, couldn't of done it with out ya man!

  • @Jyunka1 awesome! glad to see it helped. coming soon ;-) the headlight washer spray nozzle and replacing your front lenses. (mine are so bad I wrote to BMW and stated that i would be better off strapping two fischer price kids flashlights to the front of my car).

  • Thanks so much for doing this video, it's a grate video, and thanks again

  • I see a lot of oil by my vanos line. Do you think it is just the vanos line leaking or is it probably the oil housing gasket?

  • @kidstocks i would need to see it, if you have oil on your connections for your vanos then you probably need to look into those.

  • After doing some research I found out I needed a torque wrench. What's the best way to clean this whole section up? I know I shouldn't get water into the engine block, but is it ok to get water in and on the housing? As long as I dry it well?

  • @phillyphill112 i first cleaned my engine with gunk and a presure washer being careful only to hit metal areas with the spray. then once i removed everything i plugged all the oil holes with clean shop rags then used brake cleaner liberally sprayed around the oily areas then soaked/ wiped it all up with the blue shop towels till clean.

  • and yes this is a great video.... however is it easy to take out the fan off an automatic e46 2001??

  • @a110113 the clutch fan is easy to take out it spins out counter clockwise

  • u have to buy the torque wranch .... they have different sizes....

  • Great video! I'm about to change the gasket to my oil filter housing and this is so helpful. I'm leaking a lot of oil. I'm also about to change all the hoses on my power steering pump. Leaking p/s fluid everywhere. But I got a question. You talk a lot about getting the right torque on the screws. How do you make sure you're getting the right torque? Is there a tool? I've always heard about this but I just tighten up my bolts by hand. Help?! you can also email me at phillyphill112@yahoo Thanks!
