Cookie Monster Munch for the Atari 2600

It's funny how you remember games you haven't played in years.

I used to play this (along with Ernie's Alpha Beam), both on the Atari. My Grandma had it at her place. My cousins and I would fight over whose turn it was.

The advanced levels were awesome - you would collect a heap of cookies and he would start munching like crazy. But the later levels also scared the crap out of us, with that yellow dude who would jump the fence and come to attack you, only stopping when you deposited the cookie.

@VoxEMan I just saw another video for this game. It seems that YOU played the yellow dude and that the Cookie Monster was actually the one giving the chase.

I seem to remember as a kid getting far into the game and the paths disappearing. I would always get too frustrated to continue much past that point :)

And despite the present political correctness of the Cookie Monster to be more well balanced in his diet let's remind everyone that this is an old school game, so political correctness be damned. Remember, Cookie Monster, C is for Cookie and that's good enough for me... or I will eat YOUR hands Cookie Monster... now eat them cookies! Eat!

Oh, so I wasn't the only one with a Sesame Street nightmare...

When I was a kid, I dreamed that Ernie and Bert kidnapped me and beat me with suitcases in their car. (They both were at the front, I was lying at the back, behind the driver's seat.)

I haven't watched Sesame Street then for a long time period...and when I watched it again, someone told me that Sesame Street is for babies and I stopped watching it since then.

I use toplay this game when I was a kid. It also came with that children's Atari game pad.
