See, it looks like the hanging creature floats, at least kind of.

In german, 'segeln' can be used to describe floating. That translates directly to 'to sail'. But in the english language, sailing and floating are considered completely different things.

Anyway: There are buttons for the animations in Presentation mode.

Some animations that are available in Edit mode are missing though.

So you basically click a button and the creature dances.

Under the video info box on the right, there's a button in the video owner options with the caption "Edit Video Annotations".

They are called annotations. There's a button for adding them below your Video Info box.

Be aware though that if you embed your video on another site, the annotations are not visible there.

Partly an intellectual property protection feature, partly a nuisance.

I just downloaded the free creature creator for Spore and whenever I try to load it up it goes to the white loading screen but after a couple seconds it just exits and goes back to my desktop can anybody help?

Oh yeah and the EA download manager says 'command portal is in use by Prelnit' right before it goes into the loading screen.

Yeah, well, you have to download the manager, install it, start it, log in into the manager and your game will be in there, ready for downloading. You download the game, install it, then start it and that's it.

Please do not mistake these video comments for the Global EA Support Forums.

There are people at EA's support site that get payed for telling you stuff like this. Make them sweat :)

Whenever I try to launch Spore Creature Creator an "Alert" window pops up

and says "Sorry, your graphics card is below our min spec, the game will not

run. Please see the README for details. [2001]" and the game will not run.

If you've got the latest graphics card drivers installed already, theres just one way:

You look up which graphics cards are supported, buy the best of these at a hardware seller, put it into your PC and off you go.

tl;dr: You need to upgrade your box. What you got doesn't cut it. Call DELL.

If the drag and drop thing doesn't work, you could try to put the PNG into your 'My Documents/My Spore Creations/Creatures' folder and then restart the SCC.

But I'm not really sure whether that works :|

It's a collection of arms. You can CTRL+Drag new arms onto existing arms to make branches and stuff.

Sorry, no, I made a spine that goes through both of the creatures. I remembered it wrong.

The spine exits the floating part's head. The last part of the spine is resized to extrabig to make the fat blob the legs are attached to.

But I think it's also possible by making collections of arms, although the generated animation would be completely different, I suppose.

no it isnt the full creation creator, when spore is released you can pick between more things

You can only make creatures with the Creature Creator.

You can now only buy the Spore Creature Creator; Spore is expected to hit shelves in September. The Spore Creature Creator sets you back ten bucks. Digital Download. PayPal is an option.

Well, then I guess my naming reasons aren't that obvious.

I've made the mistake of translating "segeln" (ger) to "to sail" (en) - actually, "to float" would have been better.

In german, "segeln" is an appropriate verb for describing the act of flying through the sky by taking advantage of thermal winds.

You may call it "fakefloater".

That's what this creature seems to be doing if you ignore the big buddy he's attached to.
