Thank you kindly!!! Actually, the voiceover I did isn't based on any of Highsmith's writings per say...I was thinking out loud creatively speaking:) Trying to tap into the mind of Highsmith. Finding that place which fueled Highsmith's writing.
Wow...thank you! It's a creative experiment/development piece for me on Patricia Highsmith...a way for me to tap into her creative fire and what fueled her.
@alexander3699 i just finished reading 'highsmith' by marijane meaker and i'm halfway through 'beautiful shadow' by andrew wilson. P H is a fascinating person - an icon really. i feel she was born on the dark side of the moon... she lived and wrote in that place of deep lunar intuition, & made a study of human darkness. its easy to understand why she felt so alienated from ordinary people, with their shallowness and banality. she was one of the best. a lesbian great . thanks for posting this.
Very good insights in Patricia! I appreciate your post and glad you liked my concept/test piece. I'm still in the development stages of this project. Patricia is an icon and if I end up making this film, it would definitely explore Patricia as an icon and the shadows that inspired her creativity.
@alexander3699 thank you. sometimes i feel starved for good writing - the kind that is intrepid and un-sensational and unflinching in its exploration of the shadowy and disowned parts of human nature that are difficult and uncomfortable to put into words. PH did that. i think that there is so little literary creativity these days because people only want to consume the bland and comfortable. they want things to be easy and effortless. i am glad you appreciate PH. good luck with your project.
Is that Boyd Rice the one reading the text? He sounds a lot like him, but somehow I doubt he would read Highsmith's work.

Great video. Are the words from one of her novels? I don't remember them.
