if pigmentation on lips differ then best thing is to apply foundation on lips to make it one even canvas colour then apply any lipstick on top & you won't lose the lippie colour :-)

As a violist myself I should warn that blending makeup down the chin is not a very good idea since it can get on your instrument. Not so nice. Additionally, the oils on the wood, even if you use a chin rest (I don't, I play Baroque) can cause breakouts there. Washing the area of your chin and neck right after playing helps a lot. If you really feel the need for foundation around the chin and neck make sure you use a cloth between your skin and the instrument.

@ladyDWinchester Moisturizing doesn't make the face oily or greasy, it makes it keep the water inside the skin. Moisturizers for oily skin are dry and don't contain any oil. They can actually make the skin matte and moisturized at the same time.
