all my troubles would end when i heard this music! I liked the guy getting stepped on and the guy running and his helmet bouncing , I was about 7 or 8 and i just knew i would be a football player! BTW does anyone know where to get copies of the 80s NFL films presents that used to come on , on mondays?? I googled and nothing : ( PLEASE HELP !! I had an old VHS tape full of those, but over time ive parted ways with it : (

@kimv020887 I couldnt tell you ,the modern sports era pretty much disgust me to the point of not even watching anymore, that goes for most music,movies and tv, Im just not liking the turn the world is making, but i definitly dont remember any commentary, I probably ran off and started throwing the football to myself, ya kno straight up as high as you can, lol we had to get creative back then : )

How about fire Phil Simms all together, put Don Criqui back doing the a list games, ditch Sharpe, Marino, and Bill Cowher, and revamp the show. There is way too much on comedy, that is what killed Inside the NFL, too much comedy. Hence, why HBO canceled the show after 26 years, and it got shifted to Showtime.

I love Musburger right where he is calling games for ABC. I like him on play by play, and feel he'd be wasted in the studio. Summerall has health issues, which is why he retired in the first place, and Madden wants to be at home with his grandkids.

I watched old school NFL today clips and I would say that the Brent, Irv and Phyllis era and the Gumbel/Bradshaw era on The NFL Today back then are better than the garbage they have now. @pkappel006 The NFL Today during the 70's-late 80's was like the sports edition of the "CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite" because they talk serious about football games then. But today, The NFL Today sucks now because of Shannon Sharpe cracking too much jokes. They should fire Shannon, Dan and Boomer and leave JB and Cowher as a two-man studio team like NBC did with Bryant Gumbel and Mike Adamle in the late 70's. If all of you agree with me.
