Our decisions are not rational. We make them subconsciously with our emotions and justify them using whatever logic we need. People without emotion (some people lose all emotion after traumatic problems occur in the brain, ie. stroke, tumor, etc.) have been observed as having extreme difficulty in making even the most minor decisions.
Understand choice before you try to understand its implications.

When re-watching the documentary about "The Gospel Of Judas" , there is part there when all the desciples are having a meal and they thank the maker, the God Of Creation for it. When Jesus sees this he starts laughing, in fact he laughs a great deal, saying that the God Of Creation has nothing to do with the Father! Kinda makes sense now!
