Anyone got wind that the founder of Prehistoric Channel has written his first thriller book, THE ICE GORILLA is now being looked at by movie producers who are trying to turn the book into a movie. It depends on how well the book sells. Personally for me I'd love to see Jurassic Park IV and THE ICE GORILLA in movie theaters in 2013.
Wrong recent estimates an i DO have the articles to prove it said T-Rex was around 9 to 10 tons now. This was in 2011.. an not to mention being 18 to 20 ft high an 42 to 45 ft long...
It was a massive powerful animal, Spino nowhere near towered this giant maybe by a few feet an most of Spino's length came from it's tail, an aside from it's claws which were extremely unrealistically portrayed in JP3 it would have been crushed by T-Rex.
I'm glad we don't know what T-Rex really looked like because it allows us to use our own imagination to see T-Rex in our own ways, for who knows, T-Rex could be pink (I highly doubt that). Anything is possible but I like to think of T-Rex the way I see him now. :D
@kikkin55 yes a t-rex pack consisted of mainly a mother and her 3 to 5 kids, and sometimes including the father. But seriously, i was just pointing out that t-rex also hunted in packs, so no need for nerdrage

when you look at dinosaur pictures u can tell which is a male or a female like for a example in 3:22 - 3:25 you can tell thats a male but on 1:58 - 2:03 its a female.

Spinosaurus may have been bigger, but don't let romanticized, over the top Jurrasic Park III fool you, T. rex was a formidable predator, Spinosaurus aegypticus was likely a fish eater mostly and it's jaws aren't nearly as impressive as that of the Tyrant.

Wow T.rex must have a rough life because he/she had to battle Triceratops, Ankylosaurs and other superpowerful herbivores to survive. @SoCkMaNoNe Carnotaurus had four fingers per hand, and very short arms The picture at 0:25 has two digits, but does have horns like a Carnotaurus. It mostly looks likea Albertosaurus, but only the artist really knows. It's almost a mix of Carnotaurus, Allosaurus, and T-rex.

T-Rex was considered the greatest predator to ever walk the earth. It was not the biggest but it had the Strongest Jaws of any land predator, the best vision, Smell, a skull built like a battering ram an a larger brain then Giga an Spino. All Advantages to being a Great Successful Predator an deserves it's name as the King of the Dinosaurs.
While i like Giga an Spino, despite there size the advantage as said above would go to T-Rex.
Paleontologists also suspect T-Rex was an Ambush Predator.

@XxComablackxX1937 i agree that t-rex had a bigger brain, but it's not sure how smart he really was. the part of his brain that we humans use to think was small (paleontologists still say he was smart). not saying he's dumb or anything. also: "Spinosaurus was an advanced theropod, whose intelligence (as measured by its relative brain to body weight, or EQ) was high among the dinosaurs". btw- it's nice to see a comment that's not insulting other dinos.- guess we'll never know how it really was.

Wow T.rex must have a rough life because he/she had to battle Triceratops, Ankylosaurs and other superpowerful herbivores to survive. If T.rex has the ability to defeat these beasts then T.rex is truely king of the dinosaurs. Oh yeah the only way a T.rex can get kill with out fighting is by hunting Hadrosaurs.

@spinofan65 not exactly. as you know t-rex was in the 65 million years ago stage and the saurapods were in the start but in a later period came the saurapods with longer necks living in the same period as rex. also, the earth crests shifted which formed path through the ocean

I don't believe the Spinosaurus ONLY ate fish. Yes it was structurely corrected for swimming, quicker running, narrow jaw for eating fish and such, a good characteristic of the Spinosaurus is the locking jaw (Poor T-Rex....). You know in Military where there's the Riflemen then Special Ops? Well.... T-Rex - Riflemen, Spinosaurus - Special Ops. Increased skills (Speed, awareness, flexibility, etc.) in exchange for strength

@NEVECRemnant Well actually had lots of other things that I guess you could also be traded..Like being more advanced(Bacterial bite,Binocular vision, etc)...It was also a bit more intelligent..Also its is more likely they hunted in small groups...Spino did not only eat fish though I think it was the majority of its diet I would eat what ever it could get that was somewhat small.

@SoCkMaNoNe Carnotaurus had four fingers per hand, and very short arms The picture at 0:25 has two digits, but does have horns like a Carnotaurus. It mostly looks likea Albertosaurus, but only the artist really knows. It's almost a mix of Carnotaurus, Allosaurus, and T-rex.
