  • yes sterling is owned by ford. its funny in the class 4 and up(medium/heavy commercial) trucks, ford gm and chrysler work with each other to produce vehicles like Freightliner(chrysler) uses Detroit Diesel (GM) and all use Allison trannys (GM) that are auto. freightliner is now using mercedes benz engines (chrysler) and sterling(ford) uses alot of them. its funny that the big 3 try to knock each other in the regular consumer market but in the med/heavy duty classes they work together.

  • That was a Sterling: with a Mercedez Bens Ingine. Eaton Fuller Transmision: 10 speed. And the Trailer type a Cottrel!! Very Beautiful Truck. I used to drive one!!!

  • @14Dundalk88 -The truck is a Sterling!! Sterling builds commercial trucks and Ford own the Sterling company. Just like Ford own Mercury.
