Thanks for replying to my comment. Umm, ya you right in the sense that you only need a minor additional amount of calories a day about 500 to build muscle. I think the reason I said that I needed more carbs cause I have a super fast metabolism. So it would prob vary person to person. I think ima get those additional calories but waking up 4 hours into my sleep with a weight gainer and milk. Thinking about cytogainer.
The idea of waking up to drink protein shakes in the middle of the night has been met with a lot of skepticism throughout the bodybuilding industry. Some say it's a great way to get more protein, since you're probably full all day due to eating so often. Others say the waking up part ruins your recovery, and you're doing more damage by waking up than your body could ever do on its own in one night (since you're in a catabolic state when you sleep). I like sleep, so I side with the second. :P
