  • What temp did you put your dehydrator on?

  • Boys are pretty free to do as they please.

  • Is that parchement paper underneath your leather to be>>

  • @snaps81625 - yes it is. You could also use Excalibur's premium paraflexx non stick drying sheets. You reuse them and they last forever. I sell them on my site efooddehydrator. Have a great day!

  • Disappointing that you didn't show the finished fruit rollup.....!

  • Your kids don't listen! LOL

  • what would happen if you PUT A CAT IN THAT MACHINE

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Watch those kids, or they'll eat you out of house and home. He ate three berries in less than 5 seconds and was going for a fourth. A good throttling on the bottom usually helps children's appetite to decrease if they're hyperactive like yours. Thanks for the tips.

  • @OAKTOWN61 - better than chips or candy, right?

  • @OAKTOWN61 - you sound quite abusive. Hitting children because they are hungry? I would hate to see your children. ;(

  • Was wondering if you've ever done yogurt "kisses"? Just small rounds of commercial yogurt done in small rounds. I've done them 3 times now, and they never come out like the pictures show. Mine spread, alot and get all cracked. I can't flip them halfway during drying since it doesn't come up in one piece and the bottom is still gooey. Was wondering if you've tried these and what your experience was with them. I'd like to make better ones since my 4 yr old really likes them. Thanks.

  • @pomsmom75 - Hi, I have not dehydrated yogurt, but I will try it this week. I will post the video of my attempt. Thanks for watching!

  • wow those look so yummy

do you have to use just fruit or how about suger honey and other than fruit.

please email me as soon as possible

  • Hi ktinker99,

Thank you for your inquiry. You could use veggies or yogurt for leathers. I would recommend corn syrup or honey, lemon juice, but not granulated sugar. (They do not turn out good).

I recommend putting the fruit, add lemon juice and honey or corn syrup. You can cook them for about 5 minutes or put them on your tray raw. If you cook them, be sure to let them cool. I hope this helped. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks for watching.

  • I gave it 5 stars because it looks really yummy and the colour is lovely. you sons are kute. :)

  • Why thank you!

  • That looks really good. Love the colour. I'm confused. I never saw or heard of a dehydrator. Hmm...great. :)

  • LOL your kid doesn't wanna listen to you. He wants them berries! HA! Better than sneaking cookies from the cookie jar! :D

  • Can I make a suggestion.. Show the finished product at the end of the video.

Thank you for the nice video.

  • I will be receiving my new dehydrator on Friday (hopefully). I'm very excited to be making some of my own fruit leathers. Do you generally have that same consistency with all of the mixtures that you use? Thanks!

    -T.K.

  • Hi,

Thank you for your comments. Yes, I did say that, didn't I??

In regards to the banana fruit roll up being sticky, did you cook it? Sometimes that helps.

Thanks again for your comments. HAPPY DEHYDRATING!

  • I did cook it for about 10 minutes. Maybe something was wrong. I bought some bananas yesterday so I will try again. Thank you for your reply.

  • I just got a nine tray excalibur shipped all the way to Japan. I tried a banana roll up (only bananas). It took me almost 24 hours and still sticky. Did you have a good rollup in 6 hours? Is it because I used only bananas?

My kids love dried fruits and vegitables, espacially dried tomatoes. When the hands of my kids sneak to the trays, I go like you--Get out!

  • Get out of there! LOL
