We think it's amazing how clear Tongo is.. we would love to see Billie sometime. They have great personalities! Did you ever have to deal with Tongo acting up as he matured? Grio only will come to me. We are trying to socialize him.
Tongo has his favorite person, but it varies from day to day. He is pretty amazing and very clear when he speaks. Which is good and bad. We know when he is upset with us. Believe me he tells us.
Billie is the same way about anyone but me. Like I said, Tongo picks his family member of the day. It is possible as Grio matures the favorite person may change. But, in my experience I have never had them turn on me entirely.
Billie is 4 years old, yes she talks but she is not nearly as clear as Tongo. She is funny though, she pretends to have a cold just so we will say, Billie are you okay? She loves attention. Coughing sneezing and blowing her beak, LOL!
When Tongo is interested in a word, phrase, song, or sound he stops what he is doing and leans in to listen. When I see him do this I make sure that I repeat it.
We will, and we do intend to add Billie the Timneh in as well (if Tongo allows it) she is a laugh riot too! Keep working with Grio, Greys are very smart and great learners!
Its amazing and creepy how these birds can imitate sounds like that.

They are great at sounds. Tongo amazes me everyday. He makes the sound of sneakers squeaking on the floor even when we are in socks.

That is Funny! Grio is very aggressive towards the rest of the family. He's won the battle.
