They just came out with a 64gb card...costs around 200 but the technology is there...I've always followed that technology..I have a 32gb card on my HTC Rezound..and its already full..I don't know if the phones nowadays will be able to read 64gb..but at least the technology exists.
@darkheat246 Why would you? For anything better you would need a fan. Plus most games won't work with the chip set. I love it, I have it, I spent too much money.
Well it is worth 200, but I just don't like spending more then the 60, like I usually do.
@Justinba1010 What do you mean most games if you're implying mobile then no; if you're implying pc games then no as well. With advancements in technology it won't be long before we have laptops that are smaller and made for gaming.
@fresawqqa If you want this device...you can buy it from Rogers, a gsm carrier in Canada..they will unlock the device for you, but the internals are different, can only do Hspa 3.5g connectivity, (up to 14.4 mbs) and as long s the gsm carrier in dubai runs under the 2100 mhz frequency, the device will work on their 3g network.
CJ, thanks for the great review on the Rezound. Couple of comments/questions. Have you thought about shooting your reviews with a lighter background/table? That woodgrain/brown color doesn't give you a great deal of definition as your rolling through your very detailed discription/review. Also, maybe a little better lighting with the lighter background. Just a little suggestion. :)
Also, when do you think you'll have your hands on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus and do a review? Thx again.
@Azracingfan Thanks! Yeah, I need to figure out a better setup for the new year. I do some reviews with a light background and they do show up better, so I should probably try to stick with that. Still need to invest in better lightning though.
I just unboxed the Galaxy Nexus, actually. :)
Had the flu for the past couple weeks, so hopefully I did alright with that video.
@koolkis13e414 I haven't seen 64GB listed on any Android phone spec sheet for expandable storage yet. It's always been "up to 32GB." I'd imagine 64GB would have made tech news if it was possible without hacking...
@TheJdog2115 LOL I was in that SAME position exactly 2 days ago. I had a EnV 2 for many years and it was finally time to upgrade. My choices that I wanted were a iphone 4s or some type of android. I actually went with the HTC rezound and it's AMAZING. Ive only had it for a short period of time but I love it. If you have any questions i can probably answer them!
Thanks for the video, despite all these awesome features I'm still big fan of the deep black screens of the amoled screens, I wish HTC changes the LCD screens I hate the dark grey : (
and the red is always smexy on the latest HTC phones, now it's hard for me to pick a phone : \
@Sense648 Galaxy S II might have a slight edge because of its processor, thinness and battery life. It also has a nice screen, despite being only WVGA resolution. Rezound has been draining faster than desirable and I'm kind of getting tired of HTC Sense (had it on multiple phones in the past). I do like the Rezound's 720p screen, LTE support, and included Beats earphones though. However, if looking for a phone on Verizon, I'd probably take the Galaxy Nexus over both. :p That's just me though.
@SmartKeitai Thanks bro, I'm kinda stuck on T-mobile for my next contract, but I'll be sure to pick up the Galaxy SII (even though it uses the slower 1.5ghz processor) hahah
@sportdrinkfruitpunch I prefer larger screens and the ability to customize/personalize, so I'd probably go with the Rezound. It's one of the only smartphones to exceed the iPhone's screen in terms of pixel density (342 vs 326) due to its HD resolution. Big screen w/o sacrificing clarity is a win in my book. But I think the biggest factor is whether you prefer iOS or Android. Figure that out and your decision-making process will be much easier. :)
Your lack of the Galaxy Nexus is evident ;) I tried it out at the shop the other day and it's absolutely glorious. Can't wait for a full software review from SK :)
@soulweaponry Thanks. Yeah, I realized that later on. The familiar looking HTC wall wart mislead me. The older HTC EVO 3D also has an MHL port, but uses the standard microUSB cable... :)
@megamastah Ha, thanks! And yes, I agree, more light would be good. I already have a few lamps and track lighting above, but it still doesn't produce proper lighting for some reason. I need to get a special light for demos or maybe film in a room with more natural light...
@SmartKeitai Well, I personally don't know how to improve your videos, but I'm pretty sure these watch?v=qk5hHNsAcec or these watch?v=TM4zca0NH9M guys do.
Lol for such a thick phone you'd expect a much bigger battery. I think htc just fails. Thick ass phone high spec phone, tiny battery. Hah, lets see someone try and use this thing for a day without having to charge.
@LorenzAngelo28 Yeah, I guess it's slightly higher than the previous standard, but a tad less than the new standard for high-end smartphone batteries. At least it's improved over the HTC Thunderbolt (14mm, 1400mAh battery)...
Tip for viewers short on time: skip to 01:30 for start of unboxing.
