@afcghk I was at the fulham game today and we are in need of a full back and a striker/winger who can finish. Djourou played abmissal but Coquelin was exceptional as for Song, Arteta, Koscielny and Szczesny, they were great as ever. Ramsey performance was also improved but Mertesacker was immense. The three who I was shockingly dissapointed with was Gerv,RVP and Theo, as ever, great build up, crap end product. Wenger!, steal Vertonghen and Rhodes.

@afcghk I think Song's been so immense this season with his passes that I sometimes forget his defensive work. But we've been getting results from defenders like Kos and Per throwing their bodies in front of the ball to try and keep a clean sheet and to me, Song's like an invisible(an almost invincible) wall in front of the back four. Looking forward to get our full backs back to match fitness
I believe Afobe is good enough to be our second choice. Won't surprise me if Wenger is training him to be our second choice, with Henry being loaned just to add a little extra time for Afobe before he's ready to step up.

Ill give you a thumb up, but.. Gervinho have been good enough this year. We're playing 4-2-3-1 and RVP are supposed to score the goals. Wilshere is back soon. I think we could win this. Change tactic and buy another striking foward aint the right solution I believe. szczesny, gibbs, vermaelen, koscielny, sagna, song, arteta, ramsey, gervinho, walcot and van persie! Someone to back up ramsey or someone who take his spot, same goes for arteta, but guess wilshere will.
@agacardtricks 4-4-2 would have to be a Plan B. The current system suits RVP, so I wouldn't change it. We create enough goal scoring opportunities its just our finishing that need to be more clinical from some of the midfield and forward players. If we had Eto on the end of the chances we create we would be top of the league, but Podolskie will get the service required if we get him.
I think gervinho was a waste and I doubt Wenger will buy a striker. It's always like this, at first he's like I'm gonna do this and that but when it comes he settles for something less

@afcghk First off. I think we should get leighton baines. (at least on loan.) Podolski and Welliton. All top three players and all needed. sell diaby and the other crap of squillaci etc. I also like arshavin because although he does not work very hard, you have the feeling he can do something. RVP could have had 5 goals todays. You could see how dissapointed he was at the end. The main thing is the 3 points, but goal difference could be a deciding factor on where we finish on the table at the end of the season.

I don't know who is coaching the forwards on the technical aspects but the finishing seriously needs to be addressed. Don't assume Wenger isn't looking to buy a striker. It wouldn't surprise me if he makes an offer for Podolskie. Mertersacker is already at Arsenal so there is a connection from the German national team which would help him to settle in London, as they are friends.

Was a pretty good performance today, Arshavin was neat and tidy and I was surprisingly impressed. Totally agree about the striker situation. Henry will be a good face to have in the locker room but he's not going to be there love and won't really make an impact, I want Podolski at the club desperately, also read online that Huntelaar is available for £15m and Wenger is intrested, would be good to see him at the Emirates. Chance to get his career back on track really.

@afcghk I mostly agree with you. As I said before Henry is my alltime favourite player but I didn't want him back. This team now has its leader and is forging its own identity in the aftermath of Fabregas and Nasri. They have lost together as a team and it has built character. Now they are winning together as a TEAM. So in comes the ICON which could have an effect of the physchology of the team. It could be counter productive. RVP must not be undermined in any way by this move. Its his team now.
@afcghk On the other hand, IF THE PLAYERS ARE HAPPY WITH HENRY COMING BACK for 2 months then I can't see a problem with it. Team chemistry can be very fragile. We've already had new players getting to now each other in a short space of time, but enry has stayed close to the club and has good relationships with the staff and some of the players. RVP went to New York to visit him and hang out during the off season. I'm sure he still looks up to Henry and it takes some of the pressure off him.
@afcghk Also look at it this way. If you are RVP who would rather have coming on for you in a substitution? Who would you rather have on the bench? Chamakh? Or Henry? Look at the chances Walcott and Gervinho had today, who would you rather have in those positions. Podolski is not on Henry's level, but if Wenger can get him as well in the January transfer window he should do so, as he needs a long term option. Don't forget we still have a young striker, Joel Cambell, to come back from loan.

@afcghk He is a Swiss midfielder who plays for FC Basel. He is the main reason Man U were knocked out of the UCL. He is very quick, he has a good shot, a good cross and a great left foot. Personally i think he would be a better replacement for Gervinho than Henry but that's my opinion.

@afcghk Once again Arsenal were more toothless than ruthless but they got away with it. I don't know who is coaching the forwards on the technical aspects but the finishing seriously needs to be addressed. Don't assume Wenger isn't looking to buy a striker. It wouldn't surprise me if he makes an offer for Podolskie. Mertersacker is already at Arsenal so there is a connection from the German national team which would help him to settle in London, as they are friends.

I have been a Wenger advocate all my life. I've read his biography and worship the man.
BUT!
His decision-making of late has been CRAZY.

also, you don't rate Gervinho? OK, he hasn't scored many goals, but he provides dangerous wingplay and with his pace is very probing.

Was a pretty good performance today, Arshavin was neat and tidy and I was surprisingly impressed. Totally agree about the striker situation. Henry will be a good face to have in the locker room but he's not going to be there love and won't really make an impact, I want Podolski at the club desperately, also read online that Huntelaar is available for £15m and Wenger is intrested, would be good to see him at the Emirates. Chance to get his career back on track really.

apart from the GA arshavin lost the ball every time he got it.
i even notice arsenal players start avoiding giving him the ball in the end even when he was in good position cos he was static and couldnt keep the ball.
he did one other good deed for the day and that was attack someone's elbow with his nose.

@afcghk I mostly agree with you. As I said before Henry is my alltime favourite player but I didn't want him back. This team now has its leader and is forging its own identity in the aftermath of Fabregas and Nasri. They have lost together as a team and it has built character. Now they are winning together as a TEAM. So in comes the ICON which could have an effect of the physchology of the team. It could be counter productive. RVP must not be undermined in any way by this move. Its his team now.

@afcghk On the other hand, IF THE PLAYERS ARE HAPPY WITH HENRY COMING BACK for 2 months then I can't see a problem with it. Team chemistry can be very fragile. We've already had new players getting to now each other in a short space of time, but enry has stayed close to the club and has good relationships with the staff and some of the players. RVP went to New York to visit him and hang out during the off season. I'm sure he still looks up to Henry and it takes some of the pressure off him.

@afcghk Also look at it this way. If you are RVP who would rather have coming on for you in a substitution? Who would you rather have on the bench? Chamakh? Or Henry? Look at the chances Walcott and Gervinho had today, who would you rather have in those positions. Podolski is not on Henry's level, but if Wenger can get him as well in the January transfer window he should do so, as he needs a long term option. Don't forget we still have a young striker, Joel Cambell, to come back from loan.

I agree with everything you said. How can Henry alone support RVP?! We need Henry AND a World Class player such as Podolski. I think we need Baines and Albrington from Aston Villa looks like a good talent. But we still need some sort of midfield. And please please please, get rid of Walcott and Arshavin!! Biggest useless crap ive seen this year. Apparently Henry is a gimmick to drive more sales and mask the fact we still need players!! winning 1-0 is not good enough, its nerve-racking!

@afcghk Walcott moans about being on the wing but soon as he is on a 1-on-1 CF position, he struggles to score 9/10x! on top of that, that boy needs to learn how to cross consistently and build up strength. You cant rely on speed alone. But your right, we have too much trash in our squad which we need to get rid of first.

Personally I think that gervinho needs a bit more time as pressure is up. He needs time to settle. Defensively without injuries we are fine. And loaning in is an option. I like to see Henry back. But I agree a striker. wenger Please please sign cavani. He is Te material we need. He has shown he is very good and by merging man city. Please. I not too fussed as long as we are winning. I think chances in the cups will be very good but not prem.

I think that Wenger has his right to still believe in Arshavin. Today, Arshavin, with his neat play, showed us he still has something to offer.
What annoys me is that we don't see more of Benayoun. I think he has much more to offer than Walcott or Ramsey.

My view on the situation echo yours. Henry is a good signing for 2 months but there must be long term purchases as well.
Many names being thrown around but from my perspective Podolski is best option. I see it turning out like the Mata situation however. We're not the only ones in need of goals.
Wenger also has a tendency to believe in under performing players so thats worrying. Either way In Wenger We Trust

@afcghk He is a Swiss midfielder who plays for FC Basel. He is the main reason Man U were knocked out of the UCL. He is very quick, he has a good shot, a good cross and a great left foot. Personally i think he would be a better replacement for Gervinho than Henry but that's my opinion.
