Sadly these two cannot act, this was Vanessa hudgens chance to show some real acting shops but sadly she did not deliver and I expect more from her, Alex was not great either but he is new to this so he can get away with this once but I felt no connection and no emotion .

I was hoping in the theater cut that he would transform in front of her-like in Beauty and the Beast. That was always my favorite scene. She notices his eyes(and not the beauty of his face) and realizes that it is him.

Oh thank God that wasn't the ending.. I really do love that they tried to follow the cartoon but these two can't act if there life depended on it and to have that ending it needs to be heart-wrenching and this seemed way too fake... Man this movie coulda been so great had they had better actors AND better dialogue-- the cinematography/production and the soundtrack were seriously the only things that kept me watching..great stuff on that end..

This one is so much better! However, I feel this would have left some unanswered questionds like, what happened to the Machu Picchu trip? Had the ultimatum of the curse passed? Everything except Kyle getting shot was awesome; I feel that scene wasn't very dramatic. But, this ending has more meaning into every part. And, we got to see Alex Pettyfer more.

I don't get why they cut this out. throughout the movie trailer, parts of this scene were used, not the one that ended up on the movie. and this is more closely linked to the ending of the book aswell. it's almost like they were planning on using this to begin with and had it all planned out, including the trailer, but at the last minute something happened to make them completely cut this huge 10 minute chunk out. WHAT HAPPENED?!

It could have been a simple I thought she got on the bus for the airport, and when I get home she's on the roof! Declare, kiss, BAM, freak out, make up. Done. LOVE those shoes on Mary-Kate. Ugh.

I haven't seen this :). But both of endings are quite good :). The ending I watched isn't this. But I like it. He didn't need to be near the death, Lindy still needs him and loves him so much. That ending is suitable for everyone, I think.

i defiantly agree that this is a better ending & that this makes the fact that her dad's dealer is an enemy more important to the story (which, if i remember correctly, was a big party of the ending in the book)

also, let me just say, Neil Patrick Harris was wonderful in this movie :D

i liked how alex looked at the movie ending, not this alternate one, alex looked really really good, like his hair was more golden and he was taller.

@barws he looked different, because before he played the new ending of Beastly which is in the movie, he played in 'I am number four' and he had to cut his hair. That's why he looks a little bit different in the Beastly movie. But still awsome! ;D and sorry for my bad english gramma ;p

Seriously why did they replace this ending with the ending that was in theaters? thank you so much fo ruploading this I just got the DVD from Netflix and the disc doesn't haver any special features. @CrossAcademyNinja is right if you watch closely in the theater version ending you can see Alex's little lamb tattoo which he did not have until sometime after september 11, 2010 (check paparazzi photos) The alternate ending was actually filmed during principle photography in the summer of 2009.

you can definitely tell that this is the original version. Alex's hair is the same length as it was in the beginning, whereas in the other ending, his hair was shorter because it was shot after he cut his hair for I Am Number Four.
