  • He still in all our songs

  • Why the best people have always to die? :( I LOVE JOHN I LOVE PAUL I LOVE BEATLES...I wish they were together now,in 2011,what a shame! This is the destiny, but so bad,so sad :( :( Paul had wrote a song FULL OF LOVE and I'm sure John is proud of it and proud of his best friend, and he still love Paul only if he's in heaven :)

  • im a 15 year old boy and i cried like a 3 year old girl when i heard him perform this song in Nashville.

  • It's so beaufiful!

  • Oh my:( I got to see Paul Mccartney perform this song at the Hollywood Bowl. Everybody was crying:(

  • This is really excellent!

  • Happy Birthday John

  • Beautiful!! Wow great job!

This song is so amazing :'(

  • I have a similar story to the song My friend didn't die though, she just decided she did want to be my friend anymore and she just left and she was my BEST friend untill the summer of 09' we knew each other since we were in pampers! we became best friends in kindergarten, She taught me alot of pranks and she taught me how to draw so good, with out her i wouldn't be the funny jokester i am now..

I STILL LOVE JOHN AND GEORGE WITH ALL MY HEART! PEACE AND LOVE! <3

  • At 50 seconds, McCartney's magic takes over!

  • YOU DISGRACED JOHN LENNON IN HELL

  • John is still looking over paul, correcting his wrongs, still loveing him, walking and talking about him with god, enjoying it all, Paul and John were just, soul mates, with out them there would have been NO beatles! and we know who to blame for johns death.... Im sorry paul...

  • Very fitting tribute to a good Friend. Well done Sir Paul... John would've been so proud of you... *sniffs*

  • The song...the pictures...

    I've started crying :(

    We miss you Johnny <3

  • Your description contains some very erroneous information.

  • "Here Today," was based on a song Paul wrote for John. he refers to "the night that we cried." a night in Florida when he & John spent a nigh didn't know what to do with it, so we stayed up all night talking, and at some point early in the morning, I think we must have touched on some emotional points, and ended up crying,

Paul says they probably ended up talking about losing their mothers at a young age.--NPR

  • Un Trozo del corazón Beatles de paul hacia John, agradezco sus comentarios buscando PABLUS DEMO gracias es algo nuevo de Tha Beatles

  • NIcely done.

    Thanks. :)

  • Rest in Peace John Lennon 1940-1980

  • great song and perfect photos of john the perfect compliment

    well done

    beatle alex

  • Very beautiful .. Thank you.

  • RIP John.... :'( 29 years today you passed way

  • REAL NICEY

  • this is one of the best songs i've ever heard, when i saw his performence of it at the Good evening new york concert i nearly cried

  • When I saw him perform in Boston it was the same, it was so hard not to ball my eyes out. A very powerful and touching performance/song by a magnificent musician. Everyone misses you John, Thanks for the great music!!!!

  • When he played it at Tulsa, I DID bawl my eyes out.

It caught me completely unaware, and it seemed so raw

  • @tomtom255

I recently saw him perform in Florida and 3 tears came out. He dedicated the song to John and asked us to give up for him.

  • I agree CatieCasse. They will never never die, because they are and will stay the best band ever.

And this song is beautiful, it makes me cry. Death is so unfair and so hard for people who are still alive.... :'(

  • The worst thing is that John was only forty! He missed his son growing up, and the last fifty years of his life. I feel so sorry for Yoko, and the remaining Beatles.

This song makes me cry too :)

  • Thanks for uploadin! geat video... (:

  • this is my favorite Paul song out of the Beatles. I love the Beatles so much. I miss John, he was such an incredible person with a brilliant soul. This made me so sad.

  • I love John

  • Thank you for this video.......

  • What a great video, thanks for sharing!!

  • Even when they're all gone, the Beatles will still be remembered and adored. The Beatles will never die! They were in a class of their own.

They had their arguments at times, some may even say that John and Paul ended up hating each other. They just had their fights like all friends do. Long live John Lennon and George Harrison and long live the Beatles!!!!!!!!!!

  • great tune, lennon is missed, why is it the good guys go wat to early?

  • how could someone not like this band?

they were more than just singers.

    more than just songwriters.

    more than just guitarists/drummers/pianists

    more than just performers.

    they were best friends.

they loved each other and the whole world knew it.

  • Indeed.

  • not to be cheeky but this was paul mccartneys song as a solo artist. rather wonderful, isnt it?

poor john, such a tragic loss......

  • i know that it was pauls. and thats sort of my point. they were all so close to eachother

  • thats one of the biggest things i like about them, was they were all best friends and everyone knew that, cuz i got a group of friends and we relate alot like them. They are the best

  • very nice vid, amazing music, as expcted

  • 'Imagine' if John were 'Here Today'

I think that you would hear him say

I did love you Paul with tongue -in - cheek

But not 24/7 'Eight Days A Week'

  • *nyyh* I love them, Paul, John, George and Ringo. I miss them.

  • Paul's voice is perfect for this song.

    I love you John Lennon.

    Peace&love.

  • it takes alot to make me cry but this song made me bawl like a baby wow i miss john =[

  • Paul wrote this for John. Their Moms both died when they were only teenagers. I know how that feels. They cried about losing them with each other. It's so touching.

  • When I found out what the line "What about the night we cried/because there wasn't any reason left to keep it all inside" meant.

It supposedly refers to a night when John and Paul got into an argument that calmed down and turned into a conversation and they told each other everything, the truth. Which, of course, led to tears.

I hope its true. Of all the damn things in this world, I hope to God that's true.

  • I read somewhere that he's refering to a night that he and John got drunk and talked about losing their mothers

  • This song makes me cry.

  • Also, I agree with the video poster. Early Beatlemania John had a lot more feeling with his mother dieing, his rebellious humor, and such. I think when Yoko came in, she changed the course of his life.

  • Out of the shit that was paul's solo carrer....

is this gem. (and band on the run/uncle albert)

  • thats right, but i still dont understand why did John brought Yoko to play with the others when he might knew that They wouldnt like it.

  • Paul said he wrote the song about John Lennon who he loved very much despite their public feuds. They were life long mates who had issues with each other but the song is a tribute to John. An honest and bittersweet expression of Paul's feelings for his friend and bandmate after his death. "Here Today" is Paul wishing John were still here today.

  • Paul wrote this song in the wake of John's murger and released it on 1982's "Tug Of War" album.

  • WHich performance of the song is this? An official release or bootleg concert? I almost choked up when Paul's voice cracked a little when he sings "I love you."

  • official, back in the us tour

  • So many comments about heaven and John. Imagine there's no heaven, above us only sky....and no John. According to John he is no more......

  • and to go along with ur comment, nothing to kill or die for, john would still be here

  • john lennon and me....im sad i love you john im a man for ever you live in my heart

  • that's very nice....same here

  • John is looking down from heaven and he is smiling

  • @sims2lover2009 John will never be in heaven he is in the ground, being remembered

this is john lennon he will never be in heaven or hell

he will be in our memories

  • @sims2lover2009 nope!

  • This is an awesome song even if you didn't know the story behind it...but, anyone who knows John and Paul's friendship knows that this is one of the most honest and touching songs in rock history.

  • Beautiful

  • One of Paul's best songs!!!! Excellently done!!!!!

  • good job

  • greatest tribute to the greatest musician who has ever lived!!!

we love you John, we'll meet you in heaven!

    R.I.P

  • if you were here today the world would be far different.

  • True ='(

Rest in peace John. We'll see you in heaven.

  • Aw, what a great video. Wonderful pictures, too. This song always gives me chills...:|

  • i know im a bloke but this makes me cry, what a partnership they had, i love them, i love the beatles

  • This song makes me want to cry...wow. Songs don't do that to me. It's so sad.

I am holding them back right now.

    R.I.P-John Lennon and George Harrison

  • wow, this song makes me cry.

i miss john. he was the greatest.

  • This is from his Back in the US Tour right?

  • yes

  • Well done. Thank you for posting. Really sad! A nice tribute from Paul to John. I cry each time I hear this song. :-(

  • thank you for the comment :)

    but me too :(

  • @patspier Me to.

  • 0:25 is the best picture

  • :( hmm i can kinda empathise with how paul felt when he wrote this song. None of my friends died or anything but life is forcing us to move on. Communication is strained and tense. People are changing. Sometimes you feel like they're all there and then it feels like theres noone there when you want them the most! Rows that tore me and a few others apart ages ago seem ridiculous in hind sight and we've harmed noone but ourselves with it:(

  • RIP 28 years ago today, LOVE ya.

  • "boring" and "the beatles should never be in the same sentence.

  • When he says "I Love You" Everyone starts cheering and clapping. :)

  • who see this video, hear this music will remember John and will cry... DUDE I'M CRYING TOO

    i can't stop

só o Paul msm... tão ligados

  • I cry every time i hear this song

    Long Live Lennon

  • i just learnt to play this on guitar and i have to stop myself from tearing up! great song, rest in peace john and george

  • Lennon cant die.

He live in his music. So does Harrison.

Im holding my tears now, dude. ;(

  • i´m like impressed about what paul did, I dont want to say who is better if john or paul, but this is an honorable act, especially after john had written how do you sleep?. Both are the greatest rock stars so far, but it could had been nicer if john had written something positive about paul.

  • look up "I know (I know)" on youtube. its a nice song from john to paul. very sweet. goes great with this video.

  • Sad because John is gone and so is George. Nice tribute to John though.

  • I know it's a bit late, but a very very happy birthday to John. Your music will live on forever and you'll always be remembered in my heart (along with George too of course!).

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN!!!!!

  • Im crying here, dudes. Oh, why is John gone?

    So soon he left us...

    D;

  • that's a powerful song, by a powerful musician to another powerful musician

  • Well said!

  • Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!Really FANTASTIC!!

  • aww im trying not to cry!

    John was AWESOME!

    He was the cuteist guy!

    WE MISS U JOHN!!!

  • I have never heard this song, and I will tell you I just got through balling my eyes out. I love you John and Paul. I am sorry for the prison we have created for you. I think we are just as scared and lost my friends. Thank you for all of the love you have helped make, just think where we would be without your influences. All you need is love, you were right all along.

  • Oh gosh. This makes me cry every time. So sad.

  • truly amazing..

  • Era un mattino e ascoltavo la radio prima di andare a scuola...e alla fine la notizia.

Riposa nella pace e nel tuo Grande Sogno caro John.

  • Just BEAUTIFUL or shall I say Bellissimo!

    Thank you!

  • o my gosh this is such a good video! so sad, i cried a lot. beautiful song by McCartney in memory of one of my favorite people in the world! really good pics of John. R.I.P Lennon

  • does anybody hav a link for that 2nd picture???? I really love it. He's so beautiful! I love and miss you John.

    -Tegan

  • i cried from the first picture till the last.

  • Heartbreaking, tear jerking. I love and miss you John.

  • Never heard of this song. Saw the Linda McCartney movie today so decided to look more info up about her and then clicked on his name and saw the name of this song. it's a nice song. guess it was sort of fate for me to hear it

  • mmhh dunno what to think about the song..typical mccartney song I would say, .simple but very nice.I wonder what lennon would have said. The context remembers me of lennon's Julia where he sings about his dead mother. Here I would say you can see the difference between Len.&MCc.John was always the more subtile one.

R.I.P John we love you too....

  • beautiful yet sad thanks beatles for the music the memories best band bar none rip george * john

  • poor paul... very beutyful song

...I'm searching the first picture of john....can someone give me a link???

  • lennon-mccartney yesterday and forever

  • i love the beatles

  • The song dedicated to his soulmate. I love John Lennon.

  • Every time I hear this song it rips my heart a little...boy it's good.

  • lo mejor ,emocionante!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • best part is "i can hold the tears no more. oooohhhhh. i love you". that part alone brought a tear to my eye.

  • i think, too. at that part i started to cry ^^

  • very nice!

  • Great video!Im 55 years old & im still spellbound by The Beatles.I dont think anyone will ever take there place.Once again...very nice job!

  • a very good job. it brought a tear to my eye.

  • they were brothers and knew each other so well! it's so sad john's gone. that video is so touching and made me cry!

  • love the smile at 0:32

  • yeah! lovely!

  • BEAUTIFUL!! :'(

  • Perfect..... :,(

  • I''m crying!

  • that video practically made me cry, pauls tribute is amazing. John--in our hearts forever!

  • I bet old John Lennon would have somewhat mellowed, but still would have had that personna of his.

  • lovely!!!

    we do miss him!

  • In Tears now. Never got to go to the big apple and study with John. Lost dream. I remember Ed Sullivan in 1964 as if it were just the other day.Beatles will be forever no matter what. You can count on it.

  • We miss you, John.

  • and george

  • Brilliant! You hear so much about the acrimony between these two pop/rock icons that sometimes you forget....they were just kids formulating a sound and a cultural revolution that would essentially change the world. Nice to hear Sir Paul speak of his late bandmate so gently amd endearingly. Sweet, but not maudlin. John, I daresay, is pleased....

  • Thank you Paul.

  • happy birthday John!!! I love the song.. beautiful and so sad i'm crying everytime ...

  • yes happy birthday John we all shed a tear for you today.

  • es.....simplemente me hace llorar....quiero esa cancion para mi entierro...

  • pinche gringo vale madre

  • Beautifully done. You've used some of my favorite pics of John.

  • oh john, still in a lot of hearts :(

  • yoko ruined john's life...he looked so happy during his pre-Yoko years...read May Pang's book...you'll understand why Yoko made John's life miserable

  • Pictures I haven't seen before. A beautiful tribute.

  • so sad

  • Very emotional, very touching and heartfelt. It was quite lovely.

  • This is an *intensely* "real" version of this song--sung, felt and conveyed with deep love and meaning. The immediacy of this particular live performance is, in my view, very well suited to the choice of imagery (just wish you hadn't had to cut so abruptly at the end--audience response must have been jarring). That photo of John with George creates an especially lovely moment--very poignant. Thank you, ShizukoPride, for a touching tribute.

  • it would have been better if you used the real version from the tug of war cd.

  • Averst69, you don't think he wont get a little choked up singing this song? I love the panda picture. This is great song.

  • Love all 4 of those beatles

  • Beautifull! =)

  • And I'm Emotified by dear ol' Paul McCartney as well.*cries out loud*

  • lennon was a poet, but macca was a realist...maybe that was the difference...

  • I remember reading someone saying Lennon was a pesimist and McCartney was an optimist, which I think was also true.

  • Beautiful song, wonderful video.

    Well done.

  • This is a very touching song anyway and the pics went along w/ it great.Good job making me cry ;)

  • You're welcome, I guess. ^^; And thank you very much, friend.

  • Great viedeo. I love this<33 :))

  • Thanks, buddy. *hugs* :)

  • Great video. It was pretty sad.

  • It must be hard for Paul to sing this song live. I mean it must be very emotional for him!

  • r u sure? Damn this voice is weird! Sounds like the Crash Test Dummies

  • It's him.

  • who is singing this? It is not Macca that's for sure!

  • Actually, this is Paul singing from his Back in the US 2002 concert.

  • it is defo macca, there's no mistaking that voice

  • This version is the best, no doubt.

I feel very sad, and I cry a bit with "Here today" always.

  • *nod nod* Thanks for the comment. I always cry when I hear "Here Today" as well.
