Anthony " Egger" Strickland. The legend , he still drink quadruple bacardi's and has the body of a Whippet, all muscle. Never underestimate Tony, he may be a buffoon when drunk but he was one tough bastard and he is telling it as it was. He broke my cheekbone with his weakest hand !!. I never went down though. I grew up Tony, still find it hard to believe he's alive the way he drinks.
all you rovers fans, where were you last night only 600 to the county ground for a local derby how come? we took more to daganhem {1100} it didnt fell like a derby last night but it was important to get the 3 pts not only cos we beat you but to kick start season, can any rovers give me a clue as to why there we too few rovers fans. cheers
@CrAzYSwAiNeNg im sorry but that is no excuse you only got to come 30 miles down the m4. trust me if that had been at your shit hole of a ground we would hv easily sold out the away 2 times over, so dnt give be bollocks about it been monday and on sky you fucking idiot.
@CrAzYSwAiN No South West team fills their ground now City do well considering how they have let their supporters down. I don't like it but City were always better supported, well more people but not as vocal as us at Rovers and fickle too.To be a gashead is to suffer, it's a way of life but great mates and camaraderie. City fans can be very nasty to their own players. We know we have to sell players to survive, a sad fact but we ARE rover, faithful and true, we'll ALWAYS follow the boys in Blue
@STFC010 The Tote NEVER ran mate, get your facts straight, even us young un's were told we be smacked by our lot if we ran. We were on Panorama when Millwall tried to take us and they got kicked to fuck BUT were brave as you like. No mate, Tote never ran, ask a true City suppoorter about the Royal Archer and full Moon pubs, used to try every Sunday to roll over. We used to get 15,000 for the glos cup, happy days.

city took the tote 1982, 100 city boys got tickets for tote, and at 3 another mob broke the gates and ran in rovers ran every were, and after at the park paddy mulligan terry blake and co ran you every were
@ubreadstealers Terry Blake eh, ask him about his 3 fights with Steve Jeffries, Terry is one tough bastard mind. You are talking proper City now. They did come into the Tote end but very early, I was there, was 18 yrs old, there were only maybe 100-150 people in their and a lot of older people with flasks and young kids. City always tried to pull a fast one like that. Got to admit I shit myself as they were all grown Men.They never tried it when the Tote was een half full.Had some great rucks
I seem to remember a skirmish as the gas came of the train at Temple Meads years ago Bob D***n and his boys giving it the bigun to about 20 City they chased us half way up Prewit street untill they realised there were about 30 City behind them !!oops right ruck took place with Rovers holding there own for a while then legging it through being heavily outnumbered 50/50 about right i would say
@12oi345 Bob would NEVER give it the "big un" did it with his fists and boots,he was a big unit mate and Blakey and Paddy would back that up, there is respect amongst them. Bob still goes but now very thin, I worry he may be ill. Not seen the Blakes for awhile. They used to drop into the Cobbler once in awhile. That was a lifetime ago now. I used to love it when they allowed me to sit with them and listen to all the stories. Aggy, Bob,Straff, Wilshere, Browner, warbanks, Vale,Monkey, Skusey.
when was that then..we had some right old rows..it was always about 50/50 so dont give it the biggun..be honest 4 once..those were fun days..city fans always say we run but i dont think so..ask some poor city fans that found out that we never ran all of the time in them days..and still to this day you brag about us running..get a life and stop dreaming..its only when you got the odds in your favour you have a go..fact.
@Baddie Dreaming mate, once they tried it with the Tote before kick off when only 10-150 people were in, older people with flasks and kids. I have a healthy respect for the true City boys like Blakey etc but City never came at us unless it was less likely they'd get some back. Yes, we ran at times but only tactically, we'd have bars, bats planted and would pretend to run and go to the weapons and then kick right off. I remember150 city running us to the Muller rd end where we done em with those.
Tote end shandy boys, sucking each others cocks off and running for their lives from the CITY mob. 1 Team in Bristol.....CITY!

Haha, 1982. Those were the days that everyone used to kick the shit out of each other.
If that's all you can aspire to, I see why you're a shithead.
