It is really great to hear this song again. I really think that The Blow Monkeys are one of the best bands to emerge from Britain during the 1980's and really admire them. I saw them at The Jazz Cafe in London about two years ago and they were really special. In fact, I was right at the front and Dr Robert handed me his guitar at the end of The Blow Monkey's performance, though I made a complete fool of myself when I spoke to Dr Robert when he signed Devil's Tavern shortly afterwards !!

This is my favorite BM track. I love the contrast. The lyrics are so melancholy, but the music is so uplifting. The other video has better visuals. But they never get to the saying: Survival of the fittest!

The album was funded by the pre-orders placed by fans. The release date for the album was 8 September 2008. I'm not sure how popular the Blow Monkeys were in the UK but I can say as a Canadian, they were played on MuchMusic in English and Musique Plus in French but I get the feeling they were not played that much in the US. Could this be a reason why they did not get the fame they deserved? Not sure...just guessing
