Sailor Moon was awesomely dubbed,You obviously don't know what good voice acting is.

And this was the ONLY theme song to be translated well to English. It caters to younger audiences. It's suppose to be cheesy and hokey. Go watch your horribly dubbed Funimation animes.

So this isn't perfect, but back in 1994/1995 anime was NOT mainstream. This was many people's first introduction to anime and it is still nostalgic, and much better than that horrid half live action half redone animation bid that is usually mis-labelled as the Saban potential opening. It still gets a thumbs up for Nostalgia.

i wish this show was back on air so my cousins can watch it. all they wanna watch are things about girls finding guys ,country,and nickalodeon. and if it were to be on itd have to be when people can ACTUALLY watch it! i would watch pokemon but it only comes on early in the morning and during school! how are fans supposed to watch it? im just lucky to have a DVR to record the new episodes.

Also if you watch the original version "japanese version" it really shows how they messed it up in the US version but it's all good!

They really destroyed the opening. I prefer japanese subbed versions or spanish version. In latin america translation was made directly from japanese languaje. Now I know why Sailor Moon isn't that popular in the US.

In addition, the dialogue in the English-dubbed Sailor Moon was recorded in Toronto (Ontario, Canada). Therefore, it is not the US Sailor Opening, it is the Canadian Sailor Opening.

It happens to be a fact that many of the english dubbings of anime are done in studios in Toronto and Vancouver. The fact remains however that these are English region dubs, and by marketing terminology, are often called "US" versions, as the States are often the primary market for these things (highest population, major influence, etc.)

Its like video games: they should be called properly NTSC U/C rather than US versions, since its all the same.

Ok, great for them! The marketing strategy for the states was to keep licensing costs down by Syndication, which can take some time. Just because a version airs somwhere first does NOT make it that nations "own" thing.

Yea, I mean, most american cartoons (That invole Super heroes etc) usally say all the heroes names like Power Puff Girls and the Sailor Moon dub. Because DiC Went about and put Venus and Juipter into the song, gave away most of the plot. (Because Kids would be able to see that in episode 1 that Sailor V on the poster is Sailor Venus
