This looks fantastic! It will be a great addition to LyX. One extra thing that would be nice would be an option to highlight all matches (say with a lighter background compared to the current match, like Opera does). I guess this would be too resourse intensive for the regexp finds, but it would still be useful for the others.
Now this feature is available in the official LyX release, starting from LyX 2.0.0.
