  • Is it any wonder that I've been following BOC (the iron and miNd) since 1973...all Altar boys and thrill seekers are after rebellion, but may not settle...for lies.....

  • needs more cowbell !

  • 3 people thought this was gonna be ESP homosexuals...sry bad joke

  • Nope

  • This is great! So different from the original but there's something really haunting about this one. Excellent cover.

  • There should be more covers of Sandy Pearlman's lyrics - this is so well done!

  • The greatest Blue Öyster Cult cover I've ever heard.

  • Really nice job and I should know. The vocals are particularly excellent and make the lyrics make more sense than the original. Congrats Espers.

  • that black poncho is very cool! and this song is out of sight, thanks for uppin'.. :)

  • As a BOC 'purist", I gotta say I really like this cover.

It's a testament to a great song that it can transfer so well between genres.

  • They actually did a really good job on this. Congrats Espers.

  • BOC's one is much better

  • @splardybutt23

    Nah,it's just different.

Great of course (with that kickass-fucking unbelievable keyboard solo and the AWESOME guitar one) but in art there is no better or worse. It's just a mater of taste.

  • This 57-year-old loves this band and their reworking of this BOC song! Haunting, stunning and other superlatives are in order. I ordered The Weed Tree EP after a couple listens. :)

  • Hauntingly beautiful.

  • @celebrant9************** I agree

  • This is exactly what covers should be like - respectful while still making the song their own.

  • Great stuff. Saw Meg Baird open for Vetiver recently and she was mindbogglingly good.

As far as BOC cover goes, real different and original. 35+ fan saying it should be more like BOC misses the point entirely. if you want the original, listen to the original.

  • From a 35+ year Cult fan. I liked it BUT, I'm sorry, you cannot substitute Alan's haunting piano, one of Buck's most diabolical solos, & Eric's pipes for anything acoustic. I did like it though. I always thought Heart could've done something with this if not for Ann's vocals alone.

  • Stunning piece.

  • I think it's great and I'm a huge BOC fan.Reminds me Fairport Convention pre Sandy Denny.

  • This is an amazing cover, and one of the few that are better than the original song!

  • @UnjustExistence ....

    People these days

  • @BlastX125 lol old people and boring classic rock douches. If you're not one those, well, just know that you fail to recognize good music, anyway.

  • couldn't agree more

  • no....noo..noooo...you re absolutely wrong. its a great cover. different ..almost heartbreaking.

  • dude.. this version is not meant to be "rocky" at all

the majority of covers people do dont sound like the original versions.. have you been living in a cave or something??

what they did was amazing, it is so heartfelt and depressing

isnt it amazing how a band can transform a rock masterpiece into a beautiful ballad?

  • i saw them last night, they were spectacular

  • Huh, this is some live recording. Where from?

  • Superb cover. Beautiful.

  • One of the very few good blue oyster cult covers ever done. I also enjoyed Lydia Lunch and Clint Ruin's version of Don't Fear the Reaper...

  • this is awesome

  • Told you it was good. :)
