Regarding the requirements in order to be qualified in Fiqh, you are mostly wrong. To be qualified in Fiqh requires many things more than even an ijaza (permission) of hadith or quran.

Regarding Bilal Philips, if the choice is between him and the salafis, and Imam Ghazali and the sufis, then I stick with the true "salaf" of Imam Ghazali and the like.

But what you fail to understand is that Sufism has the support of the Muslim Sunni majority of the 4 mathaheb.

1- the salafi argument is that this applies "ONLY" to the hereafter, but they have no support for this claim. And to claim that it does not apply now is to say that the rules of TAWHEED are different in life than they are in the afterlife, which is ridiculous

2- the authenticated chain goes to fiqh, hadith, sufism & every Islamic science, which salafis reject.

if you doubt the authenticity of this "hadith on intercession", google it...it is a well known hadith which even the salafis accept. The salafi argument is that this only applies in the hereafter, but not now, which is not supported by any hadith or verse, except their own opinions.

As for the authenticated chain, it is the salafis who reject this concept & want to skip directly to the Quran / hadith.

It is clear that you have gotten in way over your own head here.

The original hadith I quoted you is the evidence from Sufis, where all mankind goes to all the prophets asking for their intercession until they reach Prophet Muhammad, and Allah ta3ala tells him that his intercession is accepted.

Had it been prohibited to ask for intercession, then Prophet Muhammad would have said so when stating this hadith.
