@alanbukuk As far as I know, the SS was fighting in regions close to Stalingrad, and they indeed tried to help by opening an escape path for the 6th Army, but the 6th was not allowed to retreat (a HUGE militar mistake if you ask me)

I don't gif a damm about the most SS'ers. Why because my grandfather and his brother where soldiers during the war. His brother send after the dutch gouverment occupied to Germany. And the same thing with a brother of my grandmother(motherside). If I show sympathy for Nazi Germany i would dishonor my family members. For some SS'ers i show respect.

Latin (4 years H.S & 4 more in college on the GI Bill), German (high and low German), Spanish, (of the Spain variety from living there for a number of years), used to know hundreds of Russian words but zero grammar (neither reading nor writing it tho)r, AND last of all, I speak America. NOT English, because English speak english. the North East kind
