  • I NEED a Prophet 5.

  • @KingOfBev you need an emulator 2 !!

  • @autobahn303 I just found out OMD used an Emulator on Junk Culture so you're probably right. On the other hand, Japan were very keen on the Prophet. In an ideal world I'd have both. And a Jupiter 8 for good measure!

  • I like the textured old TV video recording, it adds to the atmosphere of the 80's

  • @lddcreepykid more like the 70's. the 80's as i remember it was colorful, tacky, vibrant, new wave, etc.

  • nice bit of Prophet-5!

  • the chorus on the bass is pretty raunchy.

  • New Order / Joy Division music sounds good in live performance than on its studio version.

  • this song is a 10+

  • One of my favorite NO songs....

  • beautiful arrangement, almost orchestral

    the whole shebang is life-affirming sh*t !

did they ever do an official video of this song (as in "promo", not a live take) ?

  • the combination of the synths and the bass makes so awesome unforgetable trips, not to mention the vocals and lyrics.

  • I'm guessing this was for some sort of local youth programme in the south? Can anyone tell me any more?

  • one of the best videos on you tube.

    thanks

  • Talk about instrument before. Now every thing is on a computer.

  • this is great, but wtf is this weird. I mean, it's in B&W (I thought by the 80's all tv was in colour but not TVS southampton. Great song though

  • This is New Order, remember. It makes sense they would do something which would be perceived as being totally out of character for their time.

  • Odd how Barney sounds better staying with the high notes. I never saw that coming. What an example of the evolution of a great song. Gotta love YouTube.

  • great! Thanks johnny586.

  • Fantastic! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks a lot for posting. Really rare video and I appreciate it a lot.

  • very cool. thanks for sharing.

  • I really like this early version of the song and the intensity with which it's sung.

  • ty anything will do for new order

  • Anything by New Order is welcome even if it looks like straight off an early Dr Who episode. Thanks for posting.
