While killing Arthas before he picks up Frostmourne would result in The Lich King's (Ner'Zhul at that time) death. Though as Uther tells in Halls of Reflection, the scourge would run rampage through azeroth if it was to lose its leader.

I got to say I have it hard to see what good would result from stopping Thrall from escaping Durnholde, since if Thrall would not have escaped then for example it is possible that Archimonde would have succeded in draining the world tree.

it is possible that infinite dragonflight is a future version of bronze dragonflight (as mentioned in some theories). That Keepers of Time's leader from during wow time (don't remeber the dragon's name) changed Keepers of Time's goal from protecting the timeline to try to improve it. If the dark portal was never opened then countless lives, both human and orcs, would not have ended as they did. Although much would have been bad too (can't think of something at the moment).

Apparently, Aeonus' dragonflight is the future form of the Bronze dragonflight led by Nozdormu. Look at what they all say... its all quite positive... I mean trying to stop the opening of the dark portal to spare the lifes of Azeroth and preventing Gul'dan's horde to enter... the escape of Thrall which creates the horde and the future conflicts... could it be that we are... wrong ? it is shown the infinite dragonflight are coming from another point in time and corrupting the current bronze dragons to fight for them, and, willingly or not, Nozdormu becomes their leader. He's aware of this "fate" and does nothing to counter it.

they are indeed sabotaging the current timeline. dark portal doesn't open = no orcs = no horde = no alliance needs forming to counter them = burning legion quickly obliterates the scattered settlements.

Well probably the reason Nozdormu doesn't want to change his fate is probably because he knows that he can't escape his fate or that he will create bigger disasters by doin it.

In movies that are related time travel and etc.,if someone tries to change an event by changing the past usually ends up in creating bigger problems that .

Another hint I would say to Nozdormu leading the infinite dragon flight is Aeonus himself referring to the Keepers of Time as "Slaves of the past" when he banishes them during the encounter.

Nozdormu is leading the Infinite Dragonflight. The Infinite dragons are really bronze drakes in disquise. They are testing to see if the heros could defend the timeline when Nozdormu dies. Thats why many of the Infinite dragons say stuff like "So many lives could be saved!", they are testing to see if you will do what is right. Any normal person would fall for the trick and think the Infinite were doing the right thing...are they? "No no that path leads to maddness."

As for Nozdormu, what may happen is there is a corrupted version of him, since there are an infinite number of versions of himself. It's a thought, but maybe for the infinite leader we fight a corrupted Norzdormu with the real one assisting the raid.

Nozdormu as he's likely the leader of the Infinite(at least he has an heir in place) Ysera might get corrupted by the nightmare in the Emerald Dream. Deathwing is already evil. i think nordormu came only to help his flight in there fight at Bronze dragonshire, that or he's actully bad which could make sense(CoT bronze drake timed run, a guardian of time is being corrupted, nd in the book WotA he apologises to krasus for the bad deeds he will commet to him) ofcourse this can be wrong, dunno mabey hss just training his heir,i really dont wana fight him the bronze dargons are the best flight imo

@Eirtae In WoWWiki, it claims that Nelfarion (Deathwing) wanted to help Nefarian with his experiments. But that is with the Twilight and Chromatic dragonflight. It just says he might have something to do with the Infinite Dragonflight.
