  • Hold on! Awesome Sauce ; ^ )

  • wow, that was good..

  • Man I love that T-Mobile 4G girl...

  • Well, aside from the brutal edit/butcher of this song in the video, I have to say:

    a. Rik Emmett is god!

    b. This was one of the best albums ever

    c. I would kill for even one of those white Marshall stacks

    d. Rik Emmett was to cool using Aria guitars (did I mention I think he's god..)

... and I'm not even Canadian:-)

  • One Of The Most Underated Rock Bands..

  • White Marshall stacks!

  • probabaly my fav from triumph! funny how words from a song can transfer and relate from one generation to the next!!

  • music real music I lived it and felt it and can still feel it

  • de acuerdo este es un grupazazazazo de rock y sín embargo alaban mas a otros mas chafones como los de guns and roses u otros.

  • @19nov1966 ESTOY DE ACUERDO CONTIGO. TUVE LA OPORTUNIDAD DE VERLOS EN 1980 10 DE MAYO EN EL PASO TX. JUNTO CON UFO. FUE UN SÁBADO MUY BUENOS EN CONCIERTO.

  • Where's the acoustic part at the beginning of the song? That's my favorite part.

  • Triumph jamed with Rush in 78 and it was crazy most hadn't even heard of them.

  • @swwils101st ode to canada, eh?

  • The only other 3 man band in the world I think play as good,is Rush!!!

  • looks like he could be getty lee's brother

  • "Hold on" "Hold On" Oh man luv this song

  • I love the bridge in this song (starts at 2:04).

  • Listen to your heart and hold on to your dreams... <3

  • just love it!!!!

  • The best positive band ever....

  • MJSTIE I HEAR YOU THIS DOES BRING BACK MY GREATEST H/S MEMORIES

  • This song takes me back to my late teens in the early 80s. Wouldn't trade those days for anything.

  • Remember when Triumph was part of the First Rock n Roll Division doing USO tours...we used to pray they'd make it to the Zone for some concerts but alas...never happened. Europe and Asia got them, not our little Lost Command.

  • thats whats wrong with the world today, the music lost the positive message that our souls thrive for.better to have loved and lost i guess

  • great music those days

  • Great Performance. I love these guys. Getty Lee's little brother? Thanks for the show. Peace! Nick

  • Sweet double neck.

  • love it! not live tho. they r amazing when live i dare say. this aint. i love triumph!

  • what a positive mesage

  • @monitorasap I know right..compared to the music today..bitchs..hoes...etc etc ad nauseam...

  • Triumph hit #38 in Billboard, 9-8-79. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • Wow oh Wow... How many bands out there sound this good live. Slim to none. His voice is amazing.

  • I put them a solid 2nd behind Rush for Canadian bands. Brian Adams, 3rd, then Loverboy comes way way way down. ;-)

  • @oldjizzy April Wine is by far better than Loverboy and Brian Adams they were great in the late 70's 80's

  • Great tune!

  • Listen to your Heart

  • Song for a Close Friend Named B

  • They are great. Journey still smokes them..

  • You know why this sucks? Cuz, JUST like on the studio version, it fades out just as he's starting to really rip it! God damn radio format! Pissed me off to no end since senior year in high school when it was released!

    ;)

  • great music

  • Damn that Ric can sing!

  • Thank you Youtube for letting me listen to a great band

  • Rick Emmett is one of the most underrated rock singers of all time.

  • As much as I like Triumph, they can't hold a candle to Rush.

  • @scorefor4 Well, I never did think that, but I did use to think that Rush was quite a bit better.

I still think that 2112 is one of the all time great Rock and Roll albums, but if you listen to both of them today, you will notice that there was none of the trendy stuff that you can use to nail down when a song came out in Triumph

Rush was all over the electronic keyboard.

Rush is a hard act to follow or be compared to, but Triumph rocks great.

  • ANOTHER THING , EVEN THE DANCE / CLUB MUSIC KICKED ASS...TOP 40 MUSIC BACK THEN KICKED ASS.. NOW THIS HIPHOP SHIT GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK GARBAGE...THE SO CALLED ROCK OF TODAY IS SHIT...THERES NO SPUNK TO THERE MUSIC..ALL THE BANDS BACK THEN WERE COMPETING TO BE NUM 1...SO THEY ALL PRODUCED LEGENDARY ALBLUMS.. VANHALEN,,OZZY,RUSH,ACDC, JUDASPRIEST,TRIUMPH.KISS.WHITESNAKE,GUNS N ROSES,BONJOVIE,.METTALICCA,,RATT,, ECT,ECT,ECT,,,ALL FROM THE 80S ,,MY FRIEND

  • NO WAY..TOXINO...NOT EVEN CLOSE SORRYY....BANDS BACK THEN THEY PLAYED AND SANG GREAT...THEY HAD TO MORE SO TO GET SIGNED TO A RECORD DEAL...WHEN EDDIE VAN HALEN CAME OUT , AS FAR AS PLAYING IS CONCERNED..HE SET THE STANDARD WAY HI..MOST OF THE SHIT NOWADAYS HIPHOP,TOP40,,AND SOME ROCK ACTS ,,ALL DONE IN STUDIO

  • I agree with you guys

  • I grew up on this music and I love it you will never get it back the 80s were the best for rock and roll !!

  • they really dont make music like this anymore.....to me, after the mid 90's music went way down.....the last 15 / 16 years music is at its all time lowest... P/S I JUST CANT SAY ENOUGH GREAT ABOUT RIK EMMETT.....WHAT A FUCKING GUITARIST.....UNBELIEVABLE......PLUS HE SINGS AWESOME....LOVE EM

  • @bgj150 there is tonsof good music nowadays. We have alot of good alt and indie rock today. Chris cornell rocks so does white stripes and audioslave, dont forget about all the older bands still around today too. Iron maiden jsut came out with a new album

  • I was a huge Triumph fan in high school in the eighties and still love their music. Rik Emmet fricken shreds.

  • I was a huge Triumph fan in high school in the eighties and still love their music. Rik Emmet fricken shreds.

  • no one i mean no one PLAYS GUITAR LIKE RIK EMMET,,,,,SO DIVERSE...THIS GUY COULD DO IT ALL....HE WOULD SMOKE ,,SATCH,VIA, AND MALMSTEEM

  • The two that dont like this, have NO idea what true Rock-nRoll is ! mjstle is absolutely correct !

  • Great commercial...bastards

  • My favorite band of all time! They sang about hope and the power of music, not necessarily sex, drugs, or drinking. What else do we need?

  • I don't know what's in the heads of the 2 people who dislike this song........

  • :)

  • Seen them with VanMalmstien, Emit blew him away

  • great vocals, band's today only wish they could sound like this live.

  • One of the most underrated rock bands ever!!

  • I certainly appreciate whoever uploaded these videos!

  • I got to see them at the US FESTIVAL in San Bernadino I think in1984 or 1985.I am currently fighting the good fight and holding on to the truth of Jesus

  • i agree with mjstle...wish i had a time machine

  • Just awesome. Bands nowadays only dream of sounding like this with only 3 members. uber.

  • is there any way we can stop the marketing befor the song?

  • Agree, Rik Emmett was completely underated - as was/is this band. Not a lot of views on their videos... I bet they have a resurgence soon - they may have reunited and might be touring soon... Loved them in high school... Rock n Roll Machine~!

  • Agree, Rik Emmett was completely underated - as was/is this band. Not a lot of views on their videos... I bet they have a resurgence soon - they may have reunited and might be touring soon...

  • One of the most underated guitar players of all time.

  • The first verse to this song is sang like the who's pinball wizard

  • They skipped the epic intro... why? I know its a music video and they wanna make it short but thats the best part of the song.

  • Sweet

  • my dad has this song on a record of triumph........ and i just found it today! AWESOME SONG!

  • best memories from high school and beyond they dont make music like this any more

  • @mjstle You said it all. Just saw Rik last night in NYC do an acoustic set. At 57 he hasn't missed a step in guitar playing and singing. He is beyond incredibile, was honered to get his autograph and picture with him, truly amazing.

  • @mjstle i dont think the crap that is made now can even pass for music

  • @mjstle Indeed ! Key word music !

  • @mjstle I agree with you 100%. I remember listening to this not too long after it came out when I was dating my then boyfriend/now husband of almost 27 years. Great days!!!

  • another great 80's band so under rated its not funny. would love a reunion tour would be there in a heart beat

  • @ForeignerPhan, you are absolutely right, they don't make music like this anymore. Todays music cannot compare to the music I grew up on. Hip hop crap and pop now....it's terrible!!

  • Wow.. Rik Emmitt's combination of guitar virtuosity and incredible voice is spectacular. Doesn't hurt to be able to write such great songs either. Fantastic band from a bygone era. They don't make music like this anymore.

  • Great vocals....and this is coming from an old-school Foreigner fan. They don't make music like this anymore and that's a crying shame.

  • In my opinion, Triumph's stage show and "visual effects" were probably influenced by Kiss-and that's NOT a bad thing!

  • Watching this and current rumors. My God, can anyone imagine IF there really was a Triumph reunion? These guys knew how to do it right!

  • This one song says it all, "Hold on to your dreams". This is the very best song ever! Keeps me going when I need ONE last rep at the gym!

  • "There's a celebration deep within a song, celebrate this feeling, you know it can't be wrong." Love it!

  • ya gotta love the "light" show LOL

  • @chiefgypsy I LOVE their "light" show! If concerts were more like Triumph and Kiss, I'd start going to concerts-AGAIN! I haven't been to a concert since mid April 2008.

  • Brings me chills every time I hear it.
