  • I remember playing this game as a child. Mom kept nagging at me to put down the console. I am a young game programmer now and just started programming my first iPhone game that was inspired by Pooyan. Do check my website ~ Arachnid Studios (Available on 220111 in the App Store)P.S. google it

  • eines der geilsten c64 spiele! :D

  • I loved this game - and I love how many of the old C64 games featured these primitice computer versions of well known pieces of classical music, so that today when I hear various pieces of classical music, it makes me think of the C64 games where I first heard it.

  • The basic principle of this game just cracks me up! Priceless!

  • the best game ........THX

  • OMG! How many times I played it when I was a little girl!:)

  • There was a blatant knock-off also for the C64, called "Pigs in Space", that used a similar concept, except that the wolves deployed off a conveyor belt, and you could get out of the elevator at the bottom to rescue a captive. Also, I think at least one Neopets game spoofed this!

  • Good playable Version of Pooyan. Also great is the music. But i think the Grafic could be a little bit better. The C64 can do much prettier Graphics. The Tree is verry easy animated. I think the C64 have enough power to have graphics nearer to the original Arcade Pooyan.

  • i had this on the powerjoy

  • was it ever on nintendo or snes.i wanna play the game i plyed in aracdes in 1983

  • Who composed the music in level one?

  • It's really annoying it is right on the tip of my brain. I have played it a few times on the piano but I just can't get the composer at the moment!

  • Also Slappy Squirrel theme from Animaniacs!

  • I played it on piano, can't remember either.. I think Chopin

  • TITLE: Humoresque Op. 101, No. 7 in G flat major

    ARTIST: Antonín Dvorák

Search it on Youtube !!! :)

  • dvorak : humoresque

  • I used to love this game :)

  • 1. Was there an ending to this game (other than losing all your lives)?

    2. Was there a purpose of that ledge at the opposite end of the screen?

  • 1. There are just these two alternating levels, I guess. Well, to be honest, I do not know for sure.

    2. I think it has no purpose, it's just an attempt of realistic graphics. It must be some kind of a branch. I guess games before this had no such clever graphical features.

  • hey, where can i download the game?? I absolutely want to play it AGAIN!!

  • that brings back old memorys :o)

    thanks !

  • This game was bizarre. Was it based off of some Chinese legend?
