I was wondering why your Defiant as well as some others I've seen on here do not have the two "fins" located under the nose of the fuselage....like the ones on the video/movie that shows Dick flying Burt"s Defiant? Hope you understand what I'm speaking of....
@Tio2Man1969 Some of the Defiants have removed the single rhino rudder on the bottom (there aren't two of them, just one) and added winglet rudders on the main wings like on a Long EZ. You increase complexity...and it looks cool, but the Rhino rudder is simple and effective. There are Defiant's out there with either configuration.
It is my feeling/opinion that Burt Rutan accomplished his goal in designing one of THE SAFEST twins available. My question is....does it really "seat 5 comfortably" with "enough space for bags/luggage?" It does appear that it would certainly seat (4) comfortably with plenty of room for bags/luggage and has more than enough power to do the job.....
If you or any of your friends that may own/fly a Defiant ever visit the Hilton Head Island, S.C. area, please let me know....it is my dream to one day own a Defiant and would LOVE to see, take photos and video of all that I can. Happy and Safe flying! pilot29902 @ yahoo.com She's Beautiful!!!!
@kwiatkma If you still have a Defiant project and plans for sale, I'm interested in hearing more and talking to you. I'm a the builder and pilot of a flying Long-EZ and this is a serious inquiry.
Thank-you for the replies (this is Tio2man1969). Good luck in the sale of your Reliant airframe! Happy and Safe Flying!!!!

When I obtain a Defiant, she will need to be fully built/constructed....I have'nt the skills, time or the room to do so myself.
