I've used the sleeve of an old oly bar and have a chain going through it, anchored at the bottom and a carabina at the top to attach to dipping belt. You can a pile a load of 20's or 25's (kgs) onto this for a great squat sesh
I'm using the dipping belt but the hip belt sounds better - you can attatch an oly bar to it so there's no need to take a wide stance like I'm using. Had to pullup a bit on those last few lol, yes.. your legs just DIE doing these for high reps. You'll love them
I can get 6 x 100's in there but it leaves huge bruises on my hams where the plates collide. Belt squat would be nice but golds will only buy new cardio and freemotion machines. I'm getting an SSB to take in to alternate with these - bands, good idea!
Get some! Good shit Half! Depth look good to me, just watch the hand yanking last few reps. This looks like great accessory movement. and takes the bar off your back. I want to get the belt, I checked Ironmind and there is "De Rigueur Dipping Belt" which is 59.95 and there is "Super Squats Hip Belt" which is 114.95 which one are you using?
I have the old style hip belt and I am eyeing this because the old style padding is a tad thin for heavy weights like this. Meatball, have you considered getting the hip belt?
Get some? really?

Someone buy this man a Belt Squat Machine.
I'm surprised you haven't found a gym with a Belt Squat Machine in LA. You'd think Golds Gym would have one.
What are you gonna do to move up in weight? Looks like the belt is loaded to the max. Use Bands?
