This song was originally meant to be the theme for Charlie Brown...and you can still hear it in many of the animated specials. Vince Guaraldi actually wrote MANY songs for Charlie Brown. People just mostly know Linus and Lucy. The name of this song has ALWAYS been "Charlie Brown Theme Song".

Why do people call "Linus and Lucy" "Charlie Brown Theme"? This is "Charlie Brown Theme" while "Linus and Lucy" should be referred to as "Peanuts Theme".

This plays at the end of It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. It's rare, because it's confused with Linus and Lucy

Charlie brown doesn't have a theme song!!!!! This is not it. Linus and Lucy is the PEANUTS theme!

I think a Japanese Nintendo (as in Nintendo took it upon themselves to develop the game) game featuring Snoopy has this theme as well. Though unlike this Piano variation, it sounds well...maybe I'll post a video response.

Also Square Enix didn't do Snoopy games back in the 90s.

Also I think Jerkhiefkellaway was trying to make a point that Hamano isn't a Square-Enix employee. He's probably hinting at knowledge of the Japan only game "Snoopy Concert" done in 1995.

Wow, you're the first person I've seen who also remembers that song. I love this song, I guess it was the original theme before Linus and Lucy, or the theme to the character. I wouldn't know, I don't remember much of the Peanuts animations.
