I think its sad archaeologists cant drop thier pride and work with people like these to the sastifaction of both. Some of these sites are already disturbed by fish trolling operations but they dont even seem to know that. These people are careful and document everything.
The scientific community doesn't have the money to spend searching for and recovering treasure/artifacts from sunken ships. If it wasn't for the "treasure hunters" that risk their own capital, we wouldn't see any of this at all. The majority of artifacts from sunken vessels you see in museums is all thanks to guys like them.

Actually you are wrong. These folks tend to send what they find to museums across the world, depending on the heritage of what they find, where they find it, so on and so forth. Remember who found the titanic? They did a video, collected a few items and they are on display in a museum. thats what they do. Perhaps you need to check your info.

The number of archaeologists that specialize in underwater is tiny compared to the number of normal archaeologists.Besides, wreck salvage has been going on since ships first started sinking. Odyssey goes about their work carefully and respectfully,unlike some.
