I personally know the officer in this video and is a class act guy. The video clearly was either edited or the person behind the camera didnt record the whole ordeal. Here's the story, the officer responded to a neighbors noise complaint in which he "respectfully" told the soundman and band to turn down the music and when both didnt cooperate, he told them to shut it down and thats when fans and band members VERBALLY and PHYSICALLY engaged the officer. That's when when all hell broke loose.

Why was the officer at the location? Part of the story isemandmissing. Officers don't randomly enter a building and demand the music be turned down. Was there a citizen complaint? More than one? With this being made public, indie band's don't even think about booking Houston anymore on their tours. This is really something that got a lot of write ups around in the indie music scene. I really feel there are a lot of people in my home city of Houston here that are really struggling to keep art and culture alive here and build something new to put Houston on the map. We have mass approved "culture" and "arts" but we need to break out and put ourselves on the map creatively for once.

Ive had a common situation once at a house party and i was mistreated but instead of resisting i just took his badge number, and i reported his ass for not reading my rights and for hostility cop was suspended for a week.

I personally know the officer in this video and is a class act guy. The video clearly was either edited or the person behind the camera didnt record the whole ordeal. Here's the story, the officer responded to a neighbors noise complaint in which he "respectfully" told the soundman and band to turn down the music and when both didnt cooperate, he told them to shut it down and thats when fans and band members VERBALLY and PHYSICALLY engaged the officer. That's when when all hell broke loose.

There is NO AGGRESIVE action taken by the individual creating the video. The officer WALKED by, looked back out of the corner of his eye, extended his arm BACKWARD and PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED the person with the video camera hard enough to disrupt the electronics indicating sufficient G-Force from PHYSICAL CONTACT! If Mr. Blue was any person on the street and did this to Mr. Camera... Mr. Blue would be be charged with ASSAULT. Mr. Blue clearly has the AGGRESSIVE NATURE. Freakin Scary!!

I have personally known a Sheriff Deputy for 5 years and he is a great guy and Sheriff.
Maybe I am bias about this video, but I was raised to respect the Law and any individual wearing a Badge and carrying a firearm.
From what I can see he was trying to detain or arrest one of the guys and everyone kept grabbing and pushing.

I am not a fan of authority at all, but to say the cop "should be killed" is insane. These people protect us everyday whether you like it or not. That said, I think the cop was excessive with throwing someone with a guitar in their hands to the ground. The cop could've just pulled the plug, rather than take down the guitarist. Cops overreacted, then the crowd surrounded him, bad plays by both parties

I guarantee nothing will happen to the cop but a slap on the wrist. Much of the public (at least, those who are considered "important" or "dignified" by the people who make decisions for us) have blind trust in the police, and feel that if a cop uses any sort of force whatsoever, it must have been warranted and whoever it was used on must've obviously done something wrong.
Honestly, that cop should've been killed, same as anyone who would've tried to pull a stunt like that. Cop? Big deal.

I'm young, I'll give you that. I wouldn't go so far as to say I have no idea what you go through day to day. Not only do cops put their lives in danger on a daily basis, but you also must deal with an accusing public. You seem to think I'm referring to all cops here, but I'm not. I have respect for the cops that actually do their job and actually still care about the people they're trying to police, which is likely most of them, but there are enough bad apples to cause a lot of concern.

Explain to everyone what we do on a felony stop....traffic stop....person with a gun.....domestic violence.....child abuse .....MVA's.....Medical emergencies....murder....ADW and so on and explain to everyone the escalation of force as it applies to an officer effecting arrest on a suspect when any weapon is used including teeth, blood, feces.....in detail please!

all cops are bad. They use their tasers as cattle prods rather than what the original purpose of the invention which as a less-lethal alternative to the gun. Are you to tell me that had the taser not been invented, cops would be shooting people in crowded concerts, children in schools, and anyone who resisted arrest? NO, The Taser is an alternative to Mace and Batons. There is no alternative to the Gun, because you cannot Tase someone with a Gun. The Taser is used because it is preferable to beating someone with a baton.

I've never been pulled over, i've never been in the back of a police car, i haven't even had a talking to, and i'll tell you I have a serious problem with the current implementation of the tasers.
Wait until you have a really bad day, you're not thinking straight, you get out of your car instead of staying in it not thinking when a hot-headed cop pulls you over for going 8 or 10 over, and you get dropped by a taser because you were presumed dangerous, it's crazy how loose the regulations are.

The fact that he specifically stated he hasn't been in trouble with the law, yet you automatically fall back on the tired old "you have no respect for authority/you have a lot of traffic violations" petty nonsense does more to prove his point than yours.

Why were the police called here....is there a person with a gun, bomb a gang-fight? Don't pretend you know what we deal with, see, or can do to protect ourselves because you watch TV. Who put themselves in the unpredictable situation? Maybe the officer when realizing how many people were around should have went back to his car and called foe more officers and then preceded to have the music turned down instead of what he did. Seems like a better way to me. Secondly I'm sure if the call to the police was a gun, bomb or gang fight
