The red "Bug" Bess did some drawings, next summer we started to build it with stuff we had around , 2x3s ( frame), bits of old plywood( steering wheel ,body, seats etc,), roof flashing , ( hood) , a lamp shade was put on the front , the bumpers are from an old kitchen chair, the first motor was the electric drill we used to build it. Cheap surplus 12 volt DC motors from Princess Auto , car battery from the scrap yard 2$ . We made up the rest as we went along.
Glad you like it - the steering we just sort of made it up - a cross between the spool and bobbin found in soap box derby cars with a fixed front axle and normal front axle steering - . We had fun recycling junk on this project - the point was to spend as little as possible and make something fun .
a modified spool and bobbin system we just made up - the control rod is an old ( broken) hockey stick ( great weight to strength ratio and cost free).
I really want a 4 wheel bike car with electric motor for winter riding... I don't want to ride my mountain bike in winter. But I can't afford one. :(

The Trike kit's?
They bolt on.
And since your Cycle?
Has peddals?
It would be a Quadrapped,
If you used electric?
you could use a Small engine and 24 volt alternator?
And build a hybrid.
That would be neet to.

So?
The pedal car?
you can use a lowrider bike "Trike kit"
and add an Ebay bicycle Engine?
Then finnish the body?
And it will still be a moped.

VERY NICE!!!
i set 2 mountain bikes side by side 35 inches apart and welded them together
using cross members, metal rods for the pedals and clevices, sterring rod from a golf cart for the sterring ,costum made seat. and wheel ,
result :
mountain quad with 32 speed dual traction full front and rear suspension,
disk brakes in the front and rear v brakes. it handles really good and the traction
is amazing, a 48v e motor is yet to be installed to complete my project

Awesome job!!! I'm into bicycle cars as well, ever since 1994. What kind of setup did you use for the pedal cars steering?
