I watched it and i thought it was cute. I got sucked right in. And thanks everyone who cleared it up for me that in the beginning he is saying "Space cadet...pull out" In what state/city was this filmed? Its pretty. <3
@GetABeachHouse Wow filmed in Bavaria, Germany! No wonder it looks nice. Great video and I absolutely love Brand New. Was this for a project or for fun?
@Starlettecode it was filmed just for fun, and honetsly speaking it could have been done better...but hey! :) i was really into brand new at that time and this song particularly stirred my imagination. it's a bit sad that most of the new songs on daisy don't quite have the same effect...still i really love brand new, too ;)
I would like to believe that this is song is more or less about being thrust into a world you don't understand, though I'm no philosopher, what are others thoughts?
I think there is more to Brand New than just simply running away from everything, much like the "Luca" video. Critically, I think the main thing I would change about this particular video is at the end: Simply saying, "Welcome to Bangkok" in a normal voice would have been more effective than the sketchy, emphatic tone that was used. If it was said more normally, and less deliberately, it would have seemed more like that person had done it before, and it wasn't such a trivial kill.
im sort of ashamed to say, but ive never listened to welcome to bangkok the whole way thru...until right now, and it was better then i thought it would be, and went well with your video. 5*
Seriously... is every damned Brand New song about running, jogging, or something of the like? This is like the third or fourth "interpretation" video in which some "Space Cadet" spent the whole song running...
I get what they were going for in the "running from the unseen evil in a dream" thing... but damn...
it's not thai. it's english. he says,"space cadet, pull out. space cadet, pull out. space cadet... pull out." if that helps then you're welcome, if not then at least you've learned something.

it's not Thai. that sounds nothing like Thai. it's English. listen to it. "Space cadet, pull out". It's from an abandoned rescue mission.

its a cool song. very different from a lot of their work, and it sounds sweet. this song would work amazing in some sort of epic video.

running on the train tracks reminds me of the end of farenheit 451 for some reason..
