He was in the process of filming Hairspray so he couldn't go on tour with the rest of the HSM cast. Which is kinda good cause the guy who took his place (Drew Sealey) is the one who actually recorded the songs for HSM & it gave him a chance to get some credit for his awesome voice.

you're completely right. my friend saw this, and she was all, "zac wasn't that great." but what most people don't understand is that when they record this, they do certain parts over and over and over again until they're perfect, and then they get edited on top of that. it's not just a one take deal. zac was great. <3
