@socalef9 i have 5 lightup necklaces from middle school, they flash, pulse and glow. i can hook them up to sockets and lights, its not quite as impressive, but its good enough for me. a bunch of rhinestones and glue would be more expensive... i get ducttape free, which i can use to secure the helmet and batterries. i have circuit boards and wire left over from other projects...none of the other material is expensive

gonna respond to a few comments at once, head is made of acrylic, ears are foam, eyes are acrylic, i would build others, but the amount of time that goes into this to get it just right is more than you may think, also the materials arent too cheap. So the price of them would be more that most people would ever want to pay. ive got a lot of people saying they want one, but when i say around 450 for one covered with fabric, and 600 covered with rhinestones, people kinda say thats too expenesive

How floppy are the ears? Floppiness is very important to the mau5 ears. I made the mistake of using very thick ears with threaded rods going all the way through the top of the ears. I also used very hard foam. What brand/type of foam did you use?
