Is everybody here forgetting that the galaxy is circular and that we move around that circle? At any given time we are lined up with the center depending on which way you look at it. Children dont get creeped out when they play connect the dots, so why should we? we have to worry more about the earth, its resources, and the rising population than an alignment.

It is simply another astronomical cycle,one day is no different than any other day. 2:12 I am no Einstein but, according to this video the Sun will be between the Earth & the Dark Rift so i can hardly see any big events coming from this galactic alignment since the Dark Rift will be on the other side of the Sun. Does the Dark Rift have some sort of powerful coexistance effect on the Earth at ordinary alignments? I hardly doubt it does, but it would have to, to make any major events during this alignment as the Sun will merely be blocking the effects the Dark Rift has to Earth.

For example, the earth, the sun and the galactic center align roughly twice a year on the solstices. (Thnx to one viewer who reminded me about summer solstice) Now you can align your body on the tropics for a fourth alignment, but you can also symbolically align your interior with celestial events.

Also, the earth is some several dozen light years north of the galactic plane, and actually traveling AWAY from it at some 7 km/sec, not towards it, so will be even farther from the plane by 2012. The sun being in Sagittarius is why that is the astrological sign of December, The other alignment time is in June, but we are the one in between the sun and galactic center. Facts.

Every year the Sun is moving from Sagittarius to Capricorn on this date? No... There is a difference between the sidereal year and the tropical year because of axial precession. Our calendar is tropical. You talk as if all celestial cycles are synchronised. They are NOT.

Last time I checked we have survived with no noticeable effects or affects, not even to my interior or chakras......I find it funny that he tells all to to do the work then over looks the fact that this alignment is an annual occurrence.

Hi Petrox! Hope you don't mind how I explained and looking foward to what you add. Also have a question. Doesn't this alignment happen about every 5,600+ years or so? Pretty sure I read it does. I figure its like a birthday for Mother Earth and she may want to party. If so we could be on a wild ride. Imagine the size cake needed for that many candles! : )

@07sproate Like a woman's birth canal. When giving birth the canal is greatly widened to give birth and when the baby is coming out the canal narrows. We are also in a new solar system. A 2000yr+ event. So, we are living in exciting times!

@talover403 True for two objects. Three objects need a point in time to align if you can't move them yourself. For example, the earth, the sun and the galactic center align roughly twice a year on the solstices. (Thnx to one viewer who reminded me about summer solstice) Now you can align your body on the tropics for a fourth alignment, but you can also symbolically align your interior with celestial events.

i don't wanna be a party pooper but this is all way out of anybody's hands. Whatever happens, happens. There is nothing anybody can do to stop any force of nature. All you can do is prepare. Live the rest of your life the way you want. If a giant comet comes..ok. If there is mass electric storm world wide...ok. You can't do anything to stop or know of it, untill it comes, unless we have some superpowered technologicaly advanced systems. Satellites are amazing, but can only do so much.

@turbzdajuggalo One thing we can do is to pay attention. If something amazing happens, I don't want to miss it because I was trying to get the high score playing angry birds on my iphone. I think for the most part, we're all going to be all right, but change is afoot.

The world is only 4050 odd years old, yet, this isn't the first time this alignment has happened. What this alignment will cause is probably global devestation events that lead up to the end of the world, but every christian knows that the rapture is still FAR off and thats only the rapture, the world end will happen years after the rapture!! So get saved now!!

Not to be disrespectful, but coltsrule5150 is right, but the earth/sun/galactic center are aligned twice per year. Also, the earth is some several dozen light years north of the galactic plane, and actually traveling AWAY from it at some 7 km/sec, not towards it, so will be even farther from the plane by 2012. The sun being in Sagittarius is why that is the astrological sign of December, The other alignment time is in June, but we are the one in between the sun and galactic center. Facts.

@darkphot0n Good point. Summer solstice is an alignment with galactic center as well. I hope people get my main point that our spiritual interior is the first and possibly most important alignment "object".
