i throw mine backhand, sidearm and tommy! i love it, but it dings up too easily for later throws. when you tune it, you dont just bend it straight up like that. you actually have to bend the rim down or up, depending on what you want it to do, every 45 degrees. its my second furthest disc. for a pdga approved disc that does it all, and its only like $12 you should go get it. pair it up with the flick, soft challenger, xs, and nuke for a sweet round

I challenge anyone to make a video of them throwing this disc. I've heard it can go 500+ feet but I have yet to see it go more than 200. I've tossed it once and it did an almost flip then darted straight to the ground. If someone can show me a good throw with it, I'll believe it. Until then, I call bullshit

The only problem is The Epic sucks. It's hard to get the "perfect" tune on it, sometimes it's to far sometimes not enough. Most of the time you have to tune it before every shot, and really it's a one trick pony. When do you really need a 500+ ft tommy? It would different if it was halfway decent with any other shot style but it's not. I would much rather throw one of my Orcs 400 backhand then have to worry about blowing my shoulder out with an Epic.

I just got mine today, and unfortunately am not powerful enough to throw it hard enough overhand. It flies like a normal overstable disc, doesn't do the flip. But I'm learning.

I did however try it backhand. I bend it pretty hard (I own three Aerobie Pro rings and know how to tune them) and threw it with some anhyzer. Holy hell it took of, a beautiful s-curve, really predictable. I have to work on the thumber but as a normal rhbh this is at least as good as my normal distance drivers.

i dont know if this is a secret or not but if you bend it a certain way to look like a pentagon on top it will fly dead straight after thumbing and will not fade or turn at all it just glides forever!

he really needed to throw the disc. I am a right handed fore arm thrower and have recently begun tossing this disc. Sucks so far but I hear you have to stick with it to learn it. I routinely toss a cyclone or avenger 225 feet tomahawk so I'm expecting at least this amount of flight. So far the epic flies wide left of my intended target when thrown overhand. When fore handed, flies like a star max and I can see ultimately getting fab distance but not yet for me.

i own this disc and can throw it further than 95% of the people who play at my course. throw it overhand into the wind and it will just turnover then level out and soar for days. without a doubt a "thumber" disc. throwing it regularly would get you no where since one side of the disc is heavier than the other. unless you're insanely gifted at throwing unevenly weighted objects, this is an overhand disc.
