I just have to say this; Broken Saints is a textbook example of how you should make motion comics. Exellent atmosphere with your audio visual addition to the comic. Without trying too much to turn it into an actual animation.

I remember watching the original flash series without voices back when I was in highschool in 2002. I remember waiting impatiently for the next chapter to be created and posted on the website, and would let the chapter load for like 20-30 mins on dial-up in order to watch it. I Loved it then, and now that I get to hear their voices....I am blown away and love it even more. Great work! Great story.

Life changing is the best way to describe Broken Saints, my only regret is loaning it to someone who I felt would appreciate it only to find out they lost it and never watched a minute of it. I have yet to meet a person in my life who knows what it means to watch this from start to end.

I've watch this before without the audio narration and voice dubbings , as in in its Flash format, watch it on new grounds,gotta to tell you it was worth the 12 hours of my life!!!, hopefully I get the same satisfaction watching it again in it's upgraded format,

There's new art for a BIG portion of the series...new animations...and if you watch it on DVD (which you can find for $10 for 4 discs now!), you get 5.1 surround and the option to turn off voices. @rickylain yup - what you're seeing here is a rip of the DVD version. The only changes we made for the EOX release 2years later was new art for Chapter 13 and a bunch of audio and special features tweaks. You can still go into Settings on your original set and watch without voice!

I'm a big fan of this. Please excuse me for being honest. I really enjoy the flash version with the original background music. Somehow I think the voice over kinda ruined it. On the plus side, a lot of the scenes are updated and they look more sophisticated. Which is good. Somehow the characters look different in the new version. I kinda prefer how the characters look in the original version. But then, you guys are the creators, so I'm sure this is the way you guys want it to be.

You can pick up the DVD version which has a voice and 'classic' option with no voice, so we've got you covered. ;) We've also kept a lot of the original art, just with more polish...I think you'll dig it. And if you hunt around on here, you may be able to find a live action trailer or two =) BB

@dreamx7 you can turn off the voices to hear the 'classic' version on the DVD...you just miss out on 5.1 awesomeness. But the mix is still trippy excellent =)

OMG, it was a wasome when i first time saw this... Quite a few years ago, as a flash animation on BS page... It was witjout lectors by than only music and text... So good to see it again.

I'm a gamer/artist-in-making and can't wait to go back to college to do something even a shred this astounding. I have never witnessed stories being so well-done ever. There are 57 'acts'...the first chunk is to build characters like a graphic novel does...it's meant to lull you in and slowly trip you out. When they begin to meet, that's when the fireworks start.

I think I agree with most of the critique on here: noooo talky, plz. Shandala's voice especially didn't do it for me. But my understanding is that the original was without audio, so that's good. Other than that, neat.

Everything about Broken Saints is incredible, aside from Shandala. Honestly, I think I would be happier if the voice acting was just never implemented at all, though. I mean, there's already text bubbles. They never *intended* them to have voice acting.

Aside from that, it's amazing.

i guess it's just that poeple are used to seeing more movements in any show. The artwork is nice and it's meant to look like a comic book..so if you don't like that sort of stuff then you shouldn't watch it, but i like the story line of it all.

The story and characters in this series are amazing on their own, but the style and medium it was done in makes it even more unique. Broken Saints is one of the best animated series ever made if not the best. Been a fan for years, can't get enough. You guys deserve all the success you've had. Rock and roll.

Broken Saints = you either love it, or hate it. It's not surprising that some people seem to be more partial to the latter, too many people like to be spoonfed rather than make an effort to connect with a story. Broken Saints is unique - the audio alone is stunning, and I for one can't wait for the UK DVD release in August 2006...
