had a first mammogram, age 54. they requested a 2nd level, found some 'suspicious' areas, asked me to schedule a biopsy. i told them no. now, doing my research, and finding this video, i've decided to pretend i never had that mammogram, skip the biopsy, and live my life. BTW, my risk level is rock bottom. interesting that NO ONE asked me about my lifestyle and family history...slap leather and start cutting. grrr.

If you think that's bad, the situation on cervical screening is even worse. When these tests first started, everyone expected great things, and by the time medics realised they were harming healthy people, it was too late to change anything. The Screening authorities have spent decades convincing us gals how *very important* these tests are, they are NEVER going to be honest and admit they've been feeding us a pack of lies all this time.
