@bayf824 it seems I got lucky, I was looking at bestbuy deal of the day and checked tablets and this one was $299 for the brown version. The price stayed like that for about a week then shot back up to $399. Well worth the $299 I paid for it. I was looking at the acer iconia but the price on that was a little high for my taste. luck..Just pure luck.
Hi there, would you say the video playback is smooth, and the battery life good? I'm considering getting one, and I see the new one is coming out soon but no real reason to upgrade to that as this seems fast enough!
@MonticArckeys Video playback has been essentially 80% of what I do with my Transformer. I live on YouTube and it plays back the web version in flash perfectly along with the app running seamlessly.
The battery life is fantastic, I've actually not touched my Transformer on purpose for a week just to see how well it did in stand by. It was still at over 60% when I checked it!

You can purchase an ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, whose screen sports a 720p resolution along with a 16:9 aspect ratio rendering videos the way they were meant to be watched.
This I believe is the number one reason for me picking an Android tablet over an iOS tablet, but either way you will be happy with you choice.
@TexasTechReview I'd like to know that too. For me it would be especially interesting to see if high quality flash streams from justin.tv work smoothly.

I actually recorded this video with my phone and accidentally had the video set to 480p instead of 720p.
