I understand, but it was only the last 5 minutes of our 2h30 flight. We were under ATC and the minima were still VFR. There was traffic making circuits even!
Weather was much better in Egelsbach, that's why they were doing circuits (which is at 1300ft only) Don't take it too personal, but a good pilot would have decided to make a safety landing before risking to cut powerlines, panic their passengers (higher, higher) or lose eye contact to runway or obstacles. Everybody's criticising here, I'm giving you the advise to not do that again on purpose. Even if you have IFR knowledge, it's not IFR-flying - don't feel too experienced....
I hope to God that no non-IR rated pilot sees this and tries to copy it. What were you guys thinking? If it is below limits you do a 180 and go back. You had no licence privelige to fly in this if you did not have an IR. Trying to maintian visual contact with the ground at 400' in the vicinity of obstacles is both stupid and illegal.
I have seen instructors with IRs get into spiral dives in similar circumstances. What makes you guys think you are so smart?
If the ATC didn't say it was under VFR minima it's ok...But if I'm seeing this I can't believe this are VFR minima; ceiling was sure under 1000 ft?!

We were not at the time. But we had alot of IFR knowledge. We knew what we were doing (and flying into).

I hope you are IFR qualified, otherwise this, exciting as it might be, is potential suicide
