  • Words do not suffice...

  • Happy birthday Schumann/ Valentina....and thank you to you both.

  • Bravissima!

  • Just really, really beautifully played. I sense in you such loyalty and love for the composers vision. Thank you for this lovely rendition.

  • This is music where imagination, color, whimsy and the narrative character of the artist show. As always this pianist makes u realize there is color, phrasing, pedals, attacks -beauty! even n the smallest corners of a phrase.

  • Valentina Lisitsa a certes des doigts d'acier (ses préludes de Rachmaninov), mais elle est aussi (et surtout) une admirable musicienne. Bravo, et merci pour la vidéo.

  • ...very beautiful... wow

  • Indeed...a very musical performance of "Kinderszenen."

Please consider putting this on cd with the Tchaikovsky "Seasons." :)

  • i am looking at the score in pdf while listening.but i don know why somewhere near the half i just got lost easily.i don know where she is playing.i guess i am not very fast reader.

  • Beautiful! excellent !

  • Hi, this is John Black. There is no way you can remember me but I heard you play with a friend of mine, Abe Kreiger. It was kind of private thing, but wow you could play.

Your Symphonic Etudes were posted a couple months back and I was blown away. That's after hearing Richter's. It seemed you were playing for yourself instead of a huge audience.

Do you still live in Miami? And do you still talk to Abe, I haven't seen him in ages. You're absolutely fantastic though, you truly are.

  • That is no. 11 and is called "Frightening" or "Furchtenmachen' (with an umlat u) in German. I don't think you will find or hear a better rendition than that by Valentina Lisita of the whole Kinderscenen. I play all of them as an amateur and am in awe at her outstanding technique and musicianship. I am amazed at her wrist and finger flexibility since mine are such opposites.

  • its called "furchtenmachen" which can be translated to "frightening" :)

  • 4:08- My favorite piece from this work... and you treat it with such sensitivity (unlike Vladimir Horowitz... yuck). I don't think I've heard a better interpretation on YouTube :-)

  • do u know a "girl" called martha argerich? hahaha

  • awesome

  • You play very very beautifully! An excellent interpretation, very personal. Stunning.

  • nice

  • Hi ValentinaLisitsa, how long did you take to master this whole song?

  • Dear Friends,

Somebody pretending to be me goes around leaving nasty comments on YouTube. The impersonator's user name is VaIentinaLisitsa - the letter "L" is replaced by capital "i".

If you see this person's comments on other people pages - please let me know . I am trying to stop it and already complained to YouTube . This person is disgusting !!!

  • Dear ValentinaLisitsa, Why anyone would do that

bewilders me! I will look out for this horrible person. You are wondeful and I just love your playing!

  • there s lot of unruly people on YT but they don t want to listen to music just let themselves be noticed

  • Definately, she would record more.

  • so sweet. Great interpretation
