when did this happen? It must be shortly before the GP because they are readying the track by the looks of it. I know it's not after as there was a re-surfaced patch of tarmac exactly there (and brundle mentioned a truck on fire).

Also, how did it happen?

Not a very good fire dept. They attacked the fire from the downhill side so if any flammable liquids were released while they were on the down hill side they'd be right in the fire. And they're attacking from opposite sides flining burning debris at each other.
