This show is a waste of time and eyes. I watched a few of the first episodes and, not surprisingly, everything they did were just the same shit Top Gear had done 2 seasons prior. Top Gear UK, Top Gear US, and The Car Show. Finally some quality programming and good reasons to watch TV again. All these kids can kiss Clarkson's ball bag and talk about how he's the best, but I like car shows and I'm glad there's more now.

UK Top Gear is the best and thats the end of it. I own Series 10,12,13,14,15 on DVD and it is all fantastic stuff. That said I do like this American Top Gear. The Russians had a version of Top Gear and it was cancelled after half a season cause viewers bitched and got it cancelled. Glad that didn't happen to this version.

I'm glad they gave this show a second season, but I'd rather see History and the BBC run new episodes of the original Top Gear. I don't much care for the presenters of this show, other than Rutledge. Tanner Foust is a douche, and Adam Ferrera tries too hard to be funny, but he doesn't succeed. I'd rather watch the UK version, where the real test track and real Stig are.
I give each show its on chance, ive always watched u.k but it will be nice to know the cars that they talk about at thats why im giving the u.s version a chance
I for one am excited. I think its just as good as the UK series seeing as the last 4-5 seasons of TGUK have been subpar, at best. Considering BBC has an unlimited budget and history does not, people expect way too much out of the USA version. Give them the same budget and watch what will happen.
So another season of praising subpar american cars is starting july 24th. The personality of the fat bloke (who always has his hands in his pockets and ajusting his glasses) I can stand, but to not say anything bad or criticize a car is the deal breaker for me.

@starshipfantastica I just think it's difficult to find people that have Jeremy Clarkson's personality. Most of the appeal from the show comes from Jeremy, and his escapades with the other 2 hosts.
I think Top gear UK draws in people that aren't even interested in cars, entertains them, and turns them into people that are interested in cars.

@starshipfantastica Its not that bad. your just a TG USA fanboy. Im not choosing sides but they both have their posotive and their negatives. TG USA is always compared to TG UK. Thats why people are hating on it. And TG UK wasnt Doing good in the first two seasons either, it took them a few seasons to get to where they are now.
Chemistry is what was missing on season 1 of TGUSA, but that only comes with time. I actually thought it got better as time went on. The problem is, most compare it to TGUK which has been running for a long time. Not really fair IMO. Also, if you don't like it, don't watch it.
@4gasem i agree; it's unfair to compare TG US S1 to TG UK S15. if they're going to compare, it should be US S1 to UK S2, and, IMO, US S1 was/is more interesting.
also, people forget that even jeremy, james, and richard had to find their way together, too. i don't think they started to properly gel until S4. as for adam, tanner, and rutledge, i think they'll be fine. :)

I'm glad they gave this show a second season, but I'd rather see History and the BBC run new episodes of the original Top Gear. I don't much care for the presenters of this show, other than Rutledge. Tanner Foust is a douche, and Adam Ferrera tries too hard to be funny, but he doesn't succeed. I'd rather watch the UK version, where the real test track and real Stig are.

I for one am excited. I think its just as good as the UK series seeing as the last 4-5 seasons of TGUK have been subpar, at best. Considering BBC has an unlimited budget and history does not, people expect way too much out of the USA version. Give them the same budget and watch what will happen.

So another season of praising subpar american cars is starting july 24th. The personality of the fat bloke (who always has his hands in his pockets and ajusting his glasses) I can stand, but to not say anything bad or criticize a car is the deal breaker for me.

Not everyone will enjoy the same things, I do appricate them for taking the show a different angle, but attempting to keep much of the originals formula. I'm really glad they are bringing it back!! I'm watching again, I will as long as you keep rolling it out History channel.

THANK GOD they renewed Top Gear USA for another season. Give this show a chance. Everyone seems to LOVE Top Gear UK but personally it stinks. I could care less about a BMW320i that has an alarm in it becuse its from lower Sheepshire and not Oxfordshere. Talk to me about American cars, stories of sleeping on the rear dash of a 1974 caddyas a kid, or sticking your head between the tire and fender of the Chuck Norris Dodge Pickup.Real car lovers like this show,stop copying UK, & make it your own.

@starshipfantastica I just think it's difficult to find people that have Jeremy Clarkson's personality. Most of the appeal from the show comes from Jeremy, and his escapades with the other 2 hosts.
I think Top gear UK draws in people that aren't even interested in cars, entertains them, and turns them into people that are interested in cars.
But you're right about making the show you're own.

@starshipfantastica good job. except for saying Top Gear UK stinks. Top Gear UK is the best Top Gear, and the original, so dont hate on it. I mean, lets face it, if your a car person, when you go to a place, and you ask a person,"Do you like cars?" then you see them slowly backing away, or being awkward. You gotta accept the truth, if Top Gear isnt funny from time to time, it is quite a bore.

THANK GOD Top Gear UK has been going on for 17 seasons. This show is proven. Everyone seems to hate Top Gear US and its true. I could care less about the American cars because the only way they can compete is if they copy the European and Asian competition. Tease me with exotic cars ill never get to own or meet the US bs regulations. They should stop copying and ax the show.

@starshipfantastica the US do the same. Take the best UK shows and fail at making their own. Looks at this and the office. UK version are still the best. hard to beat with 12 seasons. The reason why the US version will not work is due to you guys being more up tight. The UK top is perpared to get into shit for what they do.
I have wacthed both as I live in the US but from the UK and really feel that as the above poster says the only way for this work is they need to have their own ideas

@starshipfantastica Its not that bad. your just a TG USA fanboy. Im not choosing sides but they both have their posotive and their negatives. TG USA is always compared to TG UK. Thats why people are hating on it. And TG UK wasnt Doing good in the first two seasons either, it took them a few seasons to get to where they are now.

Chemistry is what was missing on season 1 of TGUSA, but that only comes with time. I actually thought it got better as time went on. The problem is, most compare it to TGUK which has been running for a long time. Not really fair IMO. Also, if you don't like it, don't watch it.

@4gasem i agree; it's unfair to compare TG US S1 to TG UK S15. if they're going to compare, it should be US S1 to UK S2, and, IMO, US S1 was/is more interesting.
also, people forget that even jeremy, james, and richard had to find their way together, too. i don't think they started to properly gel until S4. as for adam, tanner, and rutledge, i think they'll be fine. :)
