  • @xlilradzx6 Popularity is not the right word, it is more likely acknowlegde. To me it sounds like a sympathy call, a way of expressing the grief of being left and being diagnosed with cancer. Tbh lay off other ppl for speaking their mind. They're only doing as you do now. You're the one offending. Just my opinion.

  • Did anyone else get a blow job from there gf after she heard this?

  • @ayamkaper Look im sorry you and your girlfriend breaking up, but getting thumbs up on youtube isn't going to bring her back into your life. Your using your break up for popularity. Not cool.

  • @xlilradzx6 Not cool insulting someone like that,

  • @LeilaisCRAZY12 Im not insulting them. But why are they using youtube to get popularity..

  • @xlilradzx6 I think you find it is. And you really think a couple of annonymous sympathy messages equates to popularity? Wow. Just wow.

  • @LeilaisCRAZY12 HOW WOULD YOU KNOW?! And, honestly, yes I do. Mind your own business if your going to comment negative things. I never insulted them and i'm aloud to give my opinion. #hop.off

  • @xlilradzx6 Out of 7 billion people on the planet, how are YouTube comments going to make one popular? And you miss will find that you have contradicted yourself, and that I too have the right to give my opinion and argue others'. And I'm allowed to listen to music I love.

  • @SeddieLover12 Then go and listen to that not this. Comment on that song, im pretty sure its not hard to find.

  • @ayamkaper I hope you're alright, now. Cancer sucks, but my best wishes are with you.

  • @kittiesman12 All i knew about it was that it had for good and defying gravity in it. Also a green witch. Now it's my favourite musical of all time! :)

  • The 28 people who disliked this are LIMITED!

  • SAM TSUI !!!

  • WOW! I can't believe how true this song is in my life! And the creepy cool part is that this is the only Wicked song I hadn't heard until my friend who has changed me for good showed it to me; and that was before we got to know each other. It was like she knew.

  • every time i hear this song i get chills!

  • Love it, it makes me think of all my friends. <3

  • My counselor Aimee Free Pando at Hefner Middle School died a month ago, We sang this song at our choir concert . We love you to much Mrs. Pando, we miss you . We cried so much when we found out . We all know you're in a better place . <3

  • Has anyone seen the play? At what point in the play do they sing it? And why is Elphaba limited, and Galinda isn't? I'm currently reading the book, because I want to see the musical--but I want to have an idea of who everyone is, and what the general storyline is. Plus, the book is by one of my favourite authors. <3 So, what's going on in this particular part of the play? :)

  • @TheCelticDove I'd hate to spoil it for you since I know you're definitely going to enjoy this immensely when you go to watch it :) But the main gist that is going on right now is that Elphaba and Galinda are parting ways for the last time. Elphaba is in a situation where she can no longer live in society while Galinda has everything out for her with the people admiring her and respecting her.

  • I was working on something and this came up on my ipod, Sam this is for you <3

    RIP SP <3 11/14/11

and yes, they have changed me for good.

  • They played this at Kelli O'Laughlin's funeral and she brought 1,000+ people together, Wow she was a amazing girl but she didne deserve to die at such a young age. Rest in peace Sweet heart♥

  • I saw this on Oprah and instantly fell in love with it!!!

  • titled wicked, but I get the best touching ballad from this soundtrack :)

  • I'm going to learn this song (both parts) and sing it for my best friend before she leaves for college next year :') I'm going to miss her so much.

  • my bestfriend died a couple of years back and i miss her so much! the first time i heard this song i cried!!! :( i miss you Jaqueline! i know you are in heaven with your two dogs! thumbs up if this song meant something to you

  • @hannahsusan57 If I remember correctly this song was played at my mother's funeral back in December 2006

  • @samijoylady1985 aww thats so sad

  • Thank you Brianna. Thank you for being there for me. Thank you for everything. I heard this song, and cried because I thought of you from this. Thank you... For everything.

  • omg this is my musical song it made my parents cry idk y thiugh

    i LOVE it

  • omg this is my musical song it made my parents cry idk y thiugh

  • My choir sang this in 3 parts, and I LOVED it! I really want to see Wicked live, it would just make everything... more real then singing it yourself or hearing it on the internet. Actually experiencing something like Broadway makes it all the more real. :)

  • Saw Wicked last night.

    Oh my God, fantastic.

  • Just saw Wicked last night and loved it! The book was amazing, but nothing s\beats seeing it for real.

  • Okay So Glee Didnt Do A Bad Job On This Song, In fact They Made Me Want To See The Play Even More. But What Im Not Getting Is How Are People So Blinded. Obviously This Was Out Before Glee... Dont Forget. But All and All, This Is The Best Song On The Soundtrack, Nd That's All I Have Of The Musical Nd I Cry At The Very Word Wicked. So Lets Not Talk About Who 'Tried' or Succeeded Trying To Remake The Song... Nd Lets Just Celebrate That The Song Even Exist.

  • Unlimited <3

  • 24 ppl hav'nt seen Wicked :( u poor souls

  • I'm SO glad that I saw this musical and knew about this wonderful music before Glee tried to remake it!!

Those who knew about it first are TRUE Wicked fans!! :)

  • BEST.VERSION.EVER

  • I think Kristin and Idina should come and do just one performance of Wicked... just let me know when, so I can get tickets. ;D

  • I do believe I have been changed for the better because I heard this song :-)

  • this song was sung at my graduation this week <3 its lovely

  • i love this song it makes me cry

  • I'm happy I saw this when Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenowith were Elphaba and Galinda :)

  • so beautiful !

  • Wow, this is beautiful...so incredibly beautiful!

  • glee did a good job. so did the original cast. can we please keep it at that? although im an original kinda gal and love the wicked version, glee did just as fine. No more arguing! there both amazing!

  • this version is sooo beautiful. and i think glee did a great tribute to wicked.

  • Can we just say that Wicked AND Glee both did this song justice?!

  • @nicagirl12 AMEN.

  • OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK THIS IS PERFECT.

  • singing wicked in choir!! excited <3

  • @jennaveiman95 thats not completely true. Wicked has a pretty solid fanbase. I have loved this since i saw it in 1st grade and i'm in 7th now. But Wicked would continue to be popular without help from Glee. I'm sure Glee widened some peoples horizons. But Wicked would be just as popular if not more without Glee i've seen it 3 times and would see it 10 more. (But i am from New York and a Broadway diehard.)

  • I do love Wicked lots and lots but Lea Michelle does do a very good version of this. ^^ Idina and Kristen ROCK \m/

  • I knew about the songs from Wicked before Glee <3

  • going to see this live in october! finally i get to see wicked on stage! NYC <3

  • i'm a guy and i cry every time i hear this song. haha ik. epic right?

  • This song is great. Regardless of whether you heard it on Glee or Wicked, the song in and of its self is amazing. Shut up and stop arguing. Fighting over the internet is like running in the special olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded. [If one person flags me because of that word, it shows your ignorance. I'm studying to be a special education teacher and eventually get my doctorate, and I love those kids.]

  • I sang this with my singing teacher for my music exam :) I was Glinda :D

  • This song has to be one of the best songs in the world!! From the amazing vocals to the best lyrics, it is absolutely bril!!! It also means so much to me and has so many memories for me (mates that moved away to dying loved ones to pets that i had to give away) n it makes me feel better and comforted after listening to it. LONG LIVE WICKED!!!!

ps. kish this might help with jake. again im soooooo sorry!!!!! i feel ur pain so much.

  • This song is so beautiful, i have never watched this musical before my best friend showed me and i now need to watch it.

This song means alot to me and my friend xx

  • i was in wicked 2 years ago and i didn't like the plot of the play but i feel in love with song!

  • i wasnt brought to wicked by glee or by seeing the show.... i was brought in by a friend who chose to play "selections from wicked" in band.... band has opened me to many new things... so to all who think band is lame, go live a little

  • I LOVE THIS! Come back Idina and Kristin!

  • glee has covered two songs from Wicked: Defying gravity ( which wasn't very good) and For Good (they did a really good job on this one, getting across the message between Kurt and Rachel very well! :)

  • @SailorVVV they're covering popular in the 1st episode of season 3 :-)

  • STOP TALKIN BOUT GLEE!!! seriously, i cant relate with you. :P

  • I don't get the point of people hating on Glee. Don't you know, both the original Glinda and Elphaba have had roles on Glee?

I don't understand why people say people Glee is a bad thing. It's opened an awful lot of people to theatre, and music in general.

The people who sung this on Glee?

One opened Spring awakening on Broadway, the other keeps on having to refuse offers from Broadway.

You might not like Glee, but you can't deny both of the singers of this on it have incredible talent.

  • I was a Wicked fan before Glee, yes, but that doesn't matter at all. It doesn't matter when you became a fan. Glee is opening people's minds to things, and I don't think anybody reasonable should want to stop that. You might not like it, but that's simple enough then. Don't read the comments on this. Just listen to the song, leave your own comment, and go on your way.

  • Lol Glee's stupid.

They should just try there own song for once and stop ruining great songs.

    ANYWAYS

I heard about Wicked about 4 years ago and just getting back into it, and I love it <3

  • @roxaslover9 That was an ignorant statement, because they HAVE done original songs before, in which Lea Michele wrote an astounding song. And you know what, Glee showed me Wicked, so what does it matter how we find Wicked as long as we do in the end?

  • @roxaslover9 okay you're ignorant i go see wicked once a year i saw these ladies preform live and to say a show like glee which saves lives is stupid for honoring this show in song you could have just commented "i love this song" instead of hurting peoples feelings

  • @musicxomainiac Get over your self

  • @musicxomainiac Just ignore this person she does the same thing to me.Apparently your not aloud to express your own opinion or anything with out A7XCheers budding in!!

  • SHUT UP EVERYONE WHO'S HATING ON GLEE.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION, GLEE IS WHAT BROUGHT ME HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE, AND FOR THE RECORD, CHRIS AND LEA DID A GOOD JOB SINGING IT!

  • I THANK GLEE CAUSE THEY INTRODUCED ME THIS SONG THUS THE ORIGINAL VERSION AND THE MUSICAL. I wouldn't have watched the musical if it wasn't for Glee.

  • I personally feel, at this point, that Glee should just go off the air. I'm one of the biggest Gleeks of them all but EVERY time Glee covers a song, there's an argument over which was better. And it's ridiculous. I, for one, happened to have learned a lot of songs through Glee especially older classics. And now I love the original versions. But I would've never knew about them without Glee. These arguments make me feel like an outcast. Because I'm, for one, mature. And I love both versions.

  • @khcodesrikurawks I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is mature and who can respect both versions! :)

  • why does it matter if you knew this before Glee? its still an amazing song whether you knew it before hand or not.

  • This is be-au-ti-ful <3

  • i really want to do a duet of this songwith my best friend, who is equilly obsessed with wicked.

  • @HannahMayJune You should go for it, my firends and I are going to try and perform Wicked

  • Me and my friend sang this at our Leavers service, it was the first song we did as a duet three years ago and we've been mega close ever since. It kinda became our anthem, and everyone cried when we sang it at the assembly. It's just such a perfect song. I would love it if you could take a listen. Search Molly Austen and Esme Kendrick For Good.

  • Wicked adds a whole new dimension to the Wizard Of Oz plotline... And rather you like Wizard' or not, this song speaks volumes about life, love, and friendship...

  • thumbs up if you saw wicked live. :)

  • @woggy29 best nights of my life<3

  • @woggy29 sigh...i cant....tickets are too ex. :(

  • @woggy29 in youtube. :D

  • @woggy29 in Chicago, back in 2008. But I remember every single moment of it! :)

  • Glee wrecks this song.

  • when i graduate from high school, i'm going to listen to this song and just cry.

  • @giraffe314 You and Me both

  • you really cant compare this and the glee version, there both amazing in there own right!!! :)

  • seeing Wicked on august 27th ;)

  • Like this if you can't see the dislike bar :D

  • Okay, I'm not even going to try something clever.

21 people are just plain idiots.

  • I'm listening to this (granted at a ridiculous time), and at the key change my mom was like 'shhh! turn it down!' cuz my dad is sleeping.

And while she's my mother, and I love her, I was angry and for a brief moment wanted to kick her in the teeth for telling me to 'shh' wicked at such a climactic moment.

  • I don't think the glee version and this version were meant to be compared...

  • Sorry, but Glee couldn't touch this. There's a reason they spent the whole show praising Wicked, and it wasn't because they could sing it better. They can't. This is how it's meant to be sung :D

  • @Anic111222

are u dumb! this is amazing!! they couldnt even compare!!! wicked is amazing!! and these girls!! omg!! their amazing at it!! i love this song

  • @DrStarman14jc No, I'm not. I only wrote what I think

  • I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH! I liked the Glee version, but (do I even have to say it?) this version is SO much better!

  • Can we please forget Glee even "tried" to cover this song. This song is pure beauty and people are blinded because of "Glee". This is Wicked! Not Glee! I'm in love with Wicked!

  • @BeScaredRawrr oh givem a break- of course no one could beat the original....glee is still fun...I was in Glee Club at Emerson Junior High in the 70's in Detroit...Glee is overdone but still good show

  • @BeScaredRawrr then don't bring it up. Glee made Wicked even more POpular. I didn't know what it was until Glee. Now, it's my favourite musical ever! So don't judge, cause if it wasn't for Glee... this show wouldn't have as many fans as it does today. And the two amazing actresses from the musical have APPEARED on the show...

  • @jennaveiman95 Also, the fans don't care if a lot of people like it so saying "this show wouldn't have as many fans" doesn't really make people say "Oh, you're right! Thanks Glee!"

  • @BeScaredRawrr - glee sang way better

  • @BeScaredRawrr Chris and Lea have beautiful voices, and personally, I think they did a decent job. Why can't we all just stick to the version we prefer and NOT bash Glee at every chance?

  • @BeScaredRawrr A FREAKING MEN

  • @BeScaredRawrr Eughh Glee ruins everythin, this song is amazing

  • @BeScaredRawrr I don't know why you people are freaking out, Wicked was good. But Glee did a good cover, like a really good cover. Just like Sam Tsui and Nick Pitera did a really good cover. I would understand if it was bad. But it wasn't..

  • @BeScaredRawrr

    Glee, ruins...songs.

  • @Yamiga100 How does Glee "ruin songs"? Sure, they may make a cover you don't like but they can't ruin a song, the original of the song doesn't cease to exist or anything just because they covered it.

  • @spogee

I'm only voicing my opinion. Some songs, are meant to be kept original.

  • @spogee They're just trying to say that Glee sucks and can't ever replace originals.

  • @JazNeko But they're not trying to "replace" originals... they're just covering songs and paying tribute to them in a way.

  • @spogee No. They're ruining them. They're not original. Glee Clubs never are. People get hooked on it because it's the same shit over and over again.

They slaughtered Journey's Faithfully. They should have left that song the way it was, perfect.

  • @JazNeko Of course they're not original, they're covers. Just listen to the original if you dislike Glee so much.

  • @JazNeko JazKeko, you nead to calm down. Glee did their cover, some other people did theirs, so gust be quiet!

  • @spogee They ruined Don't Stop Believing.

  • @rubin3364 In your opinion they ruined it.

  • @spogee Nope. By making it suddenly extremely popular again, they forced it to become overplayed and made pretty much everyone think of Don't Stop Believing whenever someone says a thing about Journey. They not only ruined Don't Stop Believing, but they also destroyed the public image of Journey by basically forcing people to forget about Journey's discography beyond Don't Stop Believing.

  • @rubin3364 If they "destroyed the public image of Journey" then isn't that also Journey's fault for letting them use their music on the show?

  • @spogee and they bring it back so the younger generation can become more educated about classic songs!!!!! totally agree with you.

  • @spogee I agree with that; if another artist does a cover you don't like then that song completely changes in your perspective. That's why I don't watch Glee because they make a lot of songs less enjoyable for me because I like the style of the origianal artist

  • @AuntieMinda132010 agreed... And If Glee's cover is the first one that a listener hears, and they dislike it, then they will probably not even bother giving the original a chance.

  • @spogee Allow me to correct Yamiga. Glee ruins the original idea of a song. Making it into super-peppy high school crap. They are the teenage version of KidzBop. Neither has any talent.

  • @ForeignMythology Yep, that explains why some of the actors on Glee are from Broadway, some even from the original Broadway version of Wicked- they have no talent... (sarcasm)
