Elphaba is in a situation where she can no longer live in society while Galinda has everything out for her with the people admiring her and respecting her.

But Wicked would continue to be popular without help from Glee. I'm sure Glee widened some peoples horizons. But Wicked would be just as popular if not more without Glee i've seen it 3 times and would see it 10 more. (But i am from New York and a Broadway diehard.)

This song sounds like a parody of crappy show tunes. From the saccharine Disney-esque vocals, to the utter absence of a real melody, to the late-70s AM soul instrumentation, everything about this bites. What is wrong with people who like this crap? Seriously?

I personally feel, at this point, that Glee should just go off the air. I'm one of the biggest Gleeks of them all but EVERY time Glee covers a song, there's an argument over which was better. And it's ridiculous. I, for one, happened to have learned a lot of songs through Glee especially older classics. And now I love the original versions. But I would've never knew about them without Glee. These arguments make me feel like an outcast. Because I'm, for one, mature. And I love both versions.
Me and my friend sang this at our Leavers service, it was the first song we did as a duet three years ago and we've been mega close ever since. This song has to be one of the best songs in the world!! From the amazing vocals to the best lyrics, it is absolutely bril!!! It also means so much to me and has so many memories for me (mates that moved away to dying loved ones to pets that i had to give away) n it makes me feel better and comforted after listening to it. LONG LIVE WICKED!!!!

This song sounds like a parody of crappy show tunes. From the saccharine Disney-esque vocals, to the utter absence of a real melody, to the late-70s AM soul instrumentation, everything about this bites. What is wrong with people who like this crap? Seriously?

I don't get the point of people hating on Glee. Don't you know, both the original Glinda and Elphaba have had roles on Glee?
I don't understand why people say people Glee is a bad thing. It's opened an awful lot of people to theatre, and music in general.
The people who sung this on Glee?
One opened Spring awakening on Broadway, the other keeps on having to refuse offers from Broadway.
You might not like Glee, but you can't deny both of the singers of this on it have incredible talent.

I was a Wicked fan before Glee, yes, but that doesn't matter at all. It doesn't matter when you became a fan. Glee is opening people's minds to things, and I don't think anybody reasonable should want to stop that. You might not like it, but that's simple enough then. Don't read the comments on this. I personally feel, at this point, that Glee should just go off the air. I'm one of the biggest Gleeks of them all but EVERY time Glee covers a song, there's an argument over which was better. And it's ridiculous. I, for one, happened to have learned a lot of songs through Glee especially older classics. And now I love the original versions. But I would've never knew about them without Glee. These arguments make me feel like an outcast. Because I'm, for one, mature. And I love both versions.

Me and my friend sang this at our Leavers service, it was the first song we did as a duet three years ago and we've been mega close ever since. It kinda became our anthem, and everyone cried when we sang it at the assembly. It's just such a perfect song. I would love it if you could take a listen. I'm listening to this (granted at a ridiculous time), and at the key change my mom was like 'shhh! turn it down!' cuz my dad is sleeping.
And while she's my mother, and I love her, I was angry and for a brief moment wanted to kick her in the teeth for telling me to 'shh' wicked at such a climactic moment.

So don't judge, cause if it wasn't for Glee... this show wouldn't have as many fans as it does today. And the two amazing actresses from the musical have APPEARED on the show...

By making it suddenly extremely popular again, they forced it to become overplayed and made pretty much everyone think of Don't Stop Believing whenever someone says a thing about Journey. They not only ruined Don't Stop Believing, but they also destroyed the public image of Journey by basically forcing people to forget about Journey's discography beyond Don't Stop Believing.
