  • I believe it was a little over 2,000 with shipping. I had to have a stand alone outlet put in with a higher amp breaker for the electric hook up (about $200- You could do that yourself if you know how...) I also rented a forklift to get it off of the truck and into my garage safely and easily ($250). So you are really looking at around $2500 when all is said and done. I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else...

  • Thanks for the response, how much did you pick it up for? Any deals out there on this lift, I see them for 2k, was wondering if I can find it cheaper.

  • Also, exhaust/tranny work should be fine also. That's why I picked this lift... You have access to the middle of the car. You don't have nearly as much access as with a 2 post lift, but it is still very user friendly. Now I miss my car. April is a long ways off.

  • So for motor work/dropping the oil pan, adding headers if you wanted to... All that stuff would be no problem with this lift. The clearance between the bottom of my car and the lift is pretty tight. My car is at the stock ride height, and I have enough clearance to put hockey pucks at the front mounting points and square 2x4's at the rear mounting points. As far as the video of it being driven on/off, it's cold and the vette is in hibernation till spring. But I will post it then.

  • What I'd like to know and see is 1) what is the clearance between the bottom of your car and the garage floor in inches and 2) I'd like to see a video of your car being driven onto the lift so that I can see how close the bottom of your car gets to the lift rails.

  • But you can do engine work as well right? Like motor mounts or drop the oil pan, stuff like that since it's open space under the engine, what about exhaust work or transmission, is there access for that as well?

Is there anyway you can take a video showing underneath the car/corvette?

  • So far it works great. I use it on routine car maintenance as you would expect, brake jobs, fluid changes, I even did a tie rod on the minivan a little while ago. The underbody of each vehicle is different, and without the swing arms of a 2 post, I have had to create my own blocks to fit in the right lifting points. But that's easy... I even use it when washing/detailing the corvette. It's a lot easier on my back waxing the lower half of the corvette while standing up.

  • Great lift, I plan on getting one next month, how do you like it so far?

  • You my brother are a gear head. I know that a lift has been your dream for a long time. SUCCESS. Nerd. Don't kill yourself with that thing! Jeez.
